Timber Ridge Lodge Motel of Gatlinburg

"Our room was disgusting! We walked into our room after checking in and the smell alone was enough to make me not want to stay there. After attempting to talk myself and my bf through that part, we were checking everything. The comforter had stains on it, the sheets had a yellow large stain, the pillows did not look cleaned, make up still on one of them. Towels in bathroom were still dirty. Stains all over the ground. I usually can deal with some things but this was beyond gross. Oh and we went in December and the gap in the crack of the door to outside was way too big and it was freezing. No way we were staying here. Couldn’t even accept them offering to change the bedding. It was close to downtown so that was a plus but totally not worth paying a little less than other places in the area. Took forever to find a hotel that had rooms available for our stay but we finally found two different ones, had to switch hotels halfway through trip. So this was a huge inconvenience for us. Spent most of my birthday searching for a new hotel. Save your time and spend a little more money for somewhere nicer!!!"

"We've stayed here twice now, once after new management. Both times I've felt good about the choice. Great price, and location. The room was much nicer this time but to be honest we don't come here for the room. It's fairly basic. They've updated to a streaming TV and there is a fridge.if I stay again I'll stay here."

"Spent this past weekend there. Place was awful! No heat or cable TV for 3 days. Management was informed the morning after our first night and nothing was done except to provide a portable space heater which was inadequate. Seemed like they didn't even try to solve it.Outlet in room did not work and another was very loose which where the heater was plugged into. Young man seemed to be the messenger between owners and us and was told by him that we would not receive a partial refund. After getting owner back on the phone a refund was promised but we have yet to see one. I would never stay here again! Place looks nice but it was putting lipstick on a pig and customer service is something that needs addressed from the owner down to employee! Update on my review... Here I am a month later still waiting on my partial refund that I was told would be returned to me within 5 business days! Would like for the owner to stand by his word"

"My girlfriend and I booked a room for a total of 4 days and 3 nights but we only stayed for 1. We went on vacation there and checked in later that day. We noticed that the new management is working in the right direction, there is new renovation that makes the room look very good and comfortable. Bathroom has a tiny tub but sufficient space. The tv is extremely big and new which is a major plus in my personal opinion. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. But when we walked in there was moldy coffee and moldy coffee grounds in our coffee maker. The fridge was dirty and the bathroom had a musty/moldy smell to it as well. When we woke up the next morning, we found a cockroach in one of our coffee mugs. After that we decided to check into another hotel. We let management know and they were understanding but wasn’t given any options nor accommodations. We would’ve loved to stay but didn’t feel very comfortable after that especially with no refund offered."
