"Mr. Dufresne has vastly improved the crust, bringing it into the modern era. It is much lighter and crisper and fresher-tasting than was usual in the ’80s, when pizza crust had no noticeable flavor except for an occasional sweetness from added sugar, and pizza shops never talked about their dough at all, let alone its digestibility. I loved my meal here -- both the inventive pizzas (as a condiment lover, the dipping sauces were perfect for the pizza bones!!) and the much-lauded potato chip salad. Mr. Dufresne has experimented with childhood favorite foods before at Du's Donuts and prefer the broader menu of Stretch Pizza greatly!"
"I loved everything about this place! The atmosphere is lively but nice. The pizza was vey solid. We got the stranger and it was great - nice mix of toppings and an excellent crust that was airy but had a nice crunch. But as great as the pizza was, their small plates should almost get equal billing. We had the chickpea fries and a brussel sprout special and both were amazing! And the s’mores soft serve ice cream was a creative tasty finish to a great meal. I’ll be back!"
"My colleague and I had the Meatball sliders and Potato Chips Salad to start. He had their bottled Japanese Hitachino White Ale. I had the Interboro IPA from their tap. As the second course, we had the Pepperoni and the Nellie. Then we finished with a whiskey on the rocks. The staff were very cool, informative, and attentive. Neat ambiance. Nice vibe."
"This was probably the best Neapolitan style pizza I’ve ever had. The recipes were inventive and tasty but I think the best part was the crust was the PERFECT mix of chewy and crunchy that I rarely find from most Neapolitan pies. As someone who has eaten pizza at Pizzeria Bianco (iykyk), I honestly think I enjoyed this pizza more. Hats off to a wildly renowned chef in several other gastronomic areas deciding to challenge himself to make the perfect pizza!"
"I love pizza and eat a lot of it. This place was FANTASTIC!! The ambiance was charming and the service was incredible. Despite popular opinion, I do not enjoy a margarita or plain slice, so when our table couldn’t decide which pies to order our server pleasantly suggested we do a split pie, half Classic/half Pepperoni. I thought it was surprising because many places won’t let you do that. In this case, it made me so happy. We had 4 people in our group, we ordered chickpea fries, potato chip salad, shishitos, meatball sliders and three pies (classic/ pepperoni split, ploughman and the reading). The table all enjoyed all three pies and two of my friends said they don’t typically like horseradish and thought it worked well in this instance. I thought everything was thoughtful and well balanced, most importantly there was even distribution of the toppings. For all this food, we each paid about $37 (no drinks). There were two slices leftover and the server took the slices, boxed them up and stored them in a pizza warmer until we were ready to go. How cool is that!! I plan event for my office and this is definitely a place I would bring them. I can’t wait to go back."
