"The pizza is delicious, and I found it hard to stop eating. They bake in a pan, the owner told me it's Detroit style, and the topping ingredients are top quality. They make slices and pies. It's finished in front of your eyes, so there could be a wait, but it's totally worth it. There isn't more than a crammed bar in terms of seating. The staff was very friendly."

"A change of pace from traditional NY slices, La Rose offers hefty Detroit squares (by the pie or slice/square) with a crispy, caramelized, crust, melty cheese, lots of topping options, and topped with a robust tomato sauce and fresh basil. Delicious! Seating is limited."

"It’s not often that you stumble upon a new school Pizza Shop that wows you. But La Rose pizza is one of those spots. My bet is in two years time will be considered a New York pizza must have pizza and in ten an establishment. This Detroit style pie offers unique toppings, quality ingredients, and delivers a flavor punch that immediately leaves you wanting more. It’s always sad to lose classic pizza establishments but when a new one moves in and fills its shoes what such a pleasure to experience. We stopped in for a slice this afternoon and within a few hours we called in for a whole pie. I can’t recommend the spot enough"
