"We had a tasty meal at Thistle & Brier on New Years Eve weekend. My husband made a reservation for a date night, he was excited to try a new non-chain restaurant in the area. His restaurant choice was excellent! We ran late for the reservation due to childcare issues and when he called to ask if we could move the time back the staff was gracious and more than willing to work with our new schedule. They also made sure to remind us we could bring our own wine as they are still waiting for their liquor license (probably hearing the chaos in the background of my husband's phone call and taking that hint - hah), we appreciated that reminder. The service was great from start to finish. We both enjoyed salads before our meals. I will definitely order the caesar salad again and my husband liked the vinaigrette dressing on his garden salad. My seafood entree was delicious. He was happy with his brisket. The mashed potatoes with goat cheese were served piping hot and were so creamy! I always want gravy with my mashed potatoes and I didn't miss the gravy one bit thanks to how well the potatoes were seasoned. We finished the night off with the cheesecake and it didn't disappoint either! The pace of the meal was good considering everything was served at the perfect temperature. We will return again in the new year to support this new small business! We're glad to have them in the area!"

"Great food, we had the shepherd's pie and pecan crusted chicken, both were delicious! They were out of a few meals so it's best to call first if you want something specific. Warm and beautifully decorated. I love that they have a patio and plenty of parking."

"My daughter and I stumbled across this gem for lunch. Beautiful establishment, delicious food, and fantastic customer service!! James was our waiter, and he was fabulous!! We even had the snake bite drink recommended to us- it was very tasty and surprisingly refreshing! This will be a definite do over!"

"This is a new place with a soft opening. It has only been open a week. As one would expect, there are still some operational issues that need to be ironed, but this place has real potential. For instance, they only have beer available for the moment, but other patrons brought their own wine. We started with the pork belly which was served on an bed of delicious greens. Very good. My wife had the Stuffed Chicken Pecan with a side of corn pudding. The chicken was good and the corn pudding outstanding. I had the brisket with sides of carrots and parsnips and bacon Mac and cheese. The brisket was perfectly done. There are several sauce options from which to choose, and I went with recommendation. Highly recommend. Look, there’s only so much that can be done with carrots and neeps as the British call them. Still, tender and tasty. The bacon Mac and cheese was really good. It was a generous portion, more than I would normally eat, but I managed to eat it all. The portions were generous and we left with brisket and chicken in a doggie bag. The service was very good, but the food did take a while (as we expected), but that should be resolved over the coming weeks. The space is really cool with exposed brick walls and a cozy bar area. They have big screen TVs mounted showing stunning scenery from the British Isles that adds to the ambiance. We enjoyed our experience and will be going back"
