Ye Olde Steak House

"We celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary today there with friends. The server was Shannon, and she did a fabulous job♡ Our order was perfect, and she took care of refills and was prompt and tentative to all of our needs and questions. Our food was prepared as requested and very delicious. This is my favorite Steakhouse and my go-to when special occasions arise or if in the mood for a delicious steak. Note that everyone here is always friendly and accommodating. We always feel right at home and welcomed every time we visit. Definitely recommend & we will always return."

"Steak! Yeah, this is the place to be. Although they mixed up our orders: my prime rib was supposed to be medium rare and my husband’s porterhouse was supposed to be rare. Still, very good steak. The other dishes were not impressive. The house salad and appetizer platter were lack-lustre, except for the fried mushrooms. I don’t understand the allure of the bland cheese spread with the crackers; they’re complimentary though. The broccoli casserole was bland and lumpy, and the broccoli was overcooked. The key lime pie was good. I like the restaurant interior; log cabin, southern style. But I couldn’t get over the fact that for a pricey place, some plates and “glasses” are plastic and dining table was cramped. Overall dining experience in Ye Olde Steak House, it was kinda disappointing. I had high expectations since this restaurant is considered a legend and “must-visit” in Knoxville and also pricey. But the only reason to go here is their steak. I can go to other cheaper, nice steak places where a lot of food selections are better than Ye Olde Steak House. I hope Ye Olde’s food quality and dining setup improve."

"What an amazing steak. I indulged in the 20oz porterhouse. It was so good! My wife had a prime rib. Also, beef perfection! The side dishes are average. The only one that wowed me was the deep-fried mushrooms. They are great. The key lime pie is really good, too. Our server was nice and attentive. When we were there, the place was super busy. With this said, she still kept up with our needs. The restaurant itself has a lodge cabin atmosphere. Very southern. Lots of old sports memorabilia on the walls. It's an old building with lots of character. I enjoyed my visit. I will go back on special occasions."
