Lowe's Home Improvement 1659 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Amherst, NY 14228

"I called and verified that I could return my microwave I purchased 45 days prior. They said yes. I gave them my name and number and told them I would be buying the exact same replacement and to please have it ready. When I got there, they said I couldn't return it and refused to honor the word of the employee I talked to. They said I needed to talk to a manager to get it approved. Marvin did not admit he was the manager and would not tell me his name. I had to get it from another store employee. When I asked Marvin for his last name, he refused. He refused to give me his name, told me that I only had 2 days to return a microwave, and told me I never called someone and got permission to return it. Marvin is not Lowe's quality management. As a follow up, I called the W. Amherst store twice and the Store Manager chose not to take my call or call me back. I contacted the VP of Customer Service in the Corporate office. They were fantastic and completely solved my problem. I do not think this is typical of Lowes. Unfortunately, I had a bad Assistant Manager and a Store Manager who obviously protects him."

"Went to look for a new washer. Found what I was looking for. Met my expectations and then some. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Delivery was only $29.00. Much cheaper than most other places."

"I would never recommend going to Mark in the pro department for larger orders. Not only did he take down my order, but he then decided to go off on his own and choose random numbers for the amount of everything I needed. I was missing half of everything I needed for a very large multi-style fence job. And every day I went to the next section I found another few pieces of material that I was missing that would not allow me to continue any further with the fence. When I called to ask about this he took zero responsibility for it. And management didn't really accommodate for the multiple amount of hours and drive time and added expenses for stuff I had to buy that should have been in the original order. He was absolutely awful to work with and did not care about any of this once the materials were sold and delivered to me."

"3.5 but not quite 4 out of 5. They've always had most of what I was looking for, and closer to home. Biggest issue this last year was my employer had a Pro account and he sent me in for a few items. Lowe's refused to hold up to the sale, saying "They have to be here" or go through this 10 step process online like any business owner has the time to spend to save pennies. I even got the company owner on my phone at the register and "due to protocol".....I lost faith. I also could never find any employees around to ask questions....staff shortage? Idk. I do remember 5 or 6 years ago their was an issue when my father had asked about the military discount. Used to be a phone number and you were fine after initial registery. Now its formal ID or DD214 to prove it. Come on! Started going to home depot, found out they have price match, and it's worth the extra 3 minute drive. Sorry, not sorry."
