"I used to love this store but it seems lately that you can't ever find the same items twice. They advertise clearance sale, according to a store employee the items are not on sale just being discontinued. Most items have gotten more expensive than Walmart"

"I was visiting N.Y. from out of state and came across this fun store. It's like a Target or Fred Myers but in an 1/8 of the space. They sell everything from A-Z. Snacks, all beauty products, Gardening, deco, toiletries, etc, and to my surprise a readily available restroom. I asked them where I should leave my backpack ( back home you can't take it in the bathroom in case you are shoplifting), They weren't worried about it, "Take it in with you" How refreshing! Anyway, to thumbs up for the Dollar General store in Potsdam N.Y."

"You know, I'm not a big dollar store fan. That being said, I do appreciate Dollar General locating their stores in rural, under served communities. The ones I go to save me a minimum of a 30 minute drive to the nearest grocery store. They're well stocked with darn near anything you would want."

"Very helpful staff, instantly asked me how I was doing and if they could help me find anything, which was nice since I did need help finding the bathroom. The cashier asked me if I was student which made me feel good because I'm almost 30 and the self confidence is getting lower with each year, so her mistaking me for another young buck really put the pep in my step."
