"HELPFUL DIRECTIONS: From the four way in Cashiers head south on 107 for 1.9 miles. Turn right onto Whiteside Cove Road and stay on this road for 2.8 miles. Immediately after coming over a small bridge, pull off into the limited parking area on the right and walk about 30 yards on the foot path until you arrive at the stairs. This was a fun activity to do while in town. The water level was pretty low in October, but still enjoyable."
"Cashiers sliding rock has always been a fun spot for my kids. Easy to get to, refreshing, and a great place to mingle with others."
"This little hidden gem was a perfect spot for our family to cool off from the summer heat. The kids enjoyed going down the sliding rock and climbing back out to do it all over again. The river bed at the bottom was perfect for exploration. Our dog enjoyed the cold mountain water as well."
"This is a great little spot for families with children to splash and play. Conveniently located, with an AWESOME natural water slide leading into a deep-ish pool. Perfect shallows for splashing both above and below the sliding rock, and there is even another small waterfall up top if you go upstream a little bit."
"The directions were easy to get to. There is just a little pull off to park. The entrance is not marked by anything. Luckily, people were already there, and we saw the cars and heard the laughter . There is a little short walk through the woods. The hardest part was the very steep steps to get to the water. Anyone who has mobility problems would have a hard time. At the end of the steps, there is a little sandy beach with fallen trees that people use to hand clothes. The water was cool. The deepest part is at the base of the sliding rock. It is about 3 feet or so. The water is clear. You can see the bottom and minnows . People bring chairs some sit in the water, others on the beach. It's a lovely, must do, free, place to visit and enjoy while on the Cashiers area. Will definitely go back"
