Reviews
"Really enjoyed the nature center. Scenery looks like it could have been inspiration for a Monet painting."
"While visiting Highlands, NC last weekend, I took my niece and nephew to the Biological Center, and we had a wonderful time! We walked there from The Park On Main (where we were staying), not really sure what we would find, and we were so impressed! Not only is the Nature Center well maintained and educational, staffed by extremely friendly and well-informed people, but the grounds are downright magical! From the moss garden with the Winnie The Pooh house to the Botanical Gardens, it was all peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly maintained, and I could have spent the whole day wandering in that fairy land or sitting on one of the many benches just soaking up all the calming nature. If you're anywhere near this place, I highly suggest you make the effort to go. You won't regret it!"
"We came to pick up trash during Highlands Litter pickup event, we walked down Lower Lake and then around the water. Hardly any trash to be found. The little one loved the bridge."
"Beautiful walk around the Bog. Not alot of blooms in Mid April but still worth a visit. Definitely coming back in several weeks."
"Wonderful little botanical park. The azalea canopies are stunning. Late summer most of the wildflowers are done blooming by there is still plenty to see. Very well maintained and lightly trafficked when I went on a Monday morning."
