"We spent 4 nights at the Village Inn (12/28-01/02) the grounds were beautiful and we truly enjoyed being there. We're travelers, so I must say I wasn't impressed with the quality of the accommodations, and even less impressed with some of the front desk personnel who made us feel like it was our privilege for being there instead of the other way around. There is a restaurant inside the hotel, but no room service, the phone in the room didn't work, the coverlet on the bed had stains. They only clean the room every other day. There are certainly improvements necessary considering the price and overall atmosphere that has one expecting a comparable service."
"Neither the rooms nor front office staff match up to the price per room night. The rooms are nice but not luxurious nor are the amenities. The front office staff are not welcoming at all. There is a sense of arrogance which thankfully has not permeated down or elsewhere. People are in generally friendly. Certainly not worth the price! It’s a nice resort but one will have to pay extra for visiting the resort gardens etc. there is a nice town center - Antler Hill Village to spend time. Food is amazing - farm to table."
"We stayed here for two week nights the second week of December, the price was $1,370 (for two nights). The price included breakfast and two tickets for the night tour of the Biltmore home. This hotel is an overpriced Best Western. The room furnishings were worn out, chipped and in an overall poor condition. For a hotel of this price, I expected something much nicer. The breakfast is good, I’ll give them that, but I could never recommend this place. We decided to enjoy some wine before our Biltmore tour located miles away from the hotel and did not want to drive. We asked about a shuttle but it’s only free for guests of the other hotel on the property. For us it cost $15 per person. We paid it to avoid drinking and driving but it really should have been included in the hotel cost. The hotel is located in the little village within walking distance of restaurants and the wine bar, otherwise you have to drive everywhere. The experience would have been worth it if the rooms were nicer or the price reflected the condition of the hotel. Otherwise, don’t stay here, stay off the property, it’s probably way nicer and much cheaper."
"Spacious, quiet rooms with comfortable beds and charming, clean decor. Really enjoyed our stay here with our two kids. The restaurant in the hotel was perfect for breakfast (wait times build up quickly so I’d suggest sending a member of your party ahead to get your name on the list), and the wait staff were very friendly. The only drawback to the hotel is the lack of bellhops - it didn’t help that we checked in at the busiest time so we had to schlep all of our luggage up to our room with no assistance and not cart. We enjoyed walking around the village the day of our check out, and our kids loved the barnyard and playground area to get some wiggles out before we hit the road. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for families!"
"This is a lovely hotel. With all of the amenities that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. From the beautiful room, the excellent pool and health club to the grand hotel atmosphere. But the staff were the most professional and customer service oriented ever. They really make the hotel experience fantastic. They know how to pamper and take such good care of you. The restaurants in the hotel are very good and the Biltmore Estate is magical. Even more amazing was how they manage busloads of tourists at this busy time of year. We were wowed."
