"I ordered bourbon chicken and the chicken was chewy and tasted reheated. This has been my experience a few times recently (once i got teriyaki chicken, which was great) but tonights food was almost inedible. I chose to upcharge my combo to include lo mein and it’s disappointing to spend 16.95 on something that was mostly wasted. Oddly enough, the chicken in the lo mein was good."

"I really don’t like making negative reviews but I am hoping this comes across as constructive criticism. Unfortunately this is not the same TR Oriental we have known for the last 8-10 years. I do not know the new owners and they may be good people but the food has spoken for itself. The packaging is the same but the contents are no where close to the previous quality. Chicken cuts seem to be lesser and there is no crispiness left in the batter. It’s soggy and not the same sauces. We have tried to be fair and tried 5 different times since change in ownership but have been disappointed each time. We hoped it was a fluke or a learning curve but it has not improved. I hope they can turn it around. Not sure if we will be back. I give 2 stars because of the history we have loved and the hope that it will get better."

"Every fall we do a road trip in the mountains to hike and enjoy some fresh air. Travelers Rest, SC is a absolutely beautiful, friendly outdoor place. If you haven't been, I highly recommend the area anytime of the year. Now the food... Tr's was a quick stop for dinner. We ordered online and picked our food to go. Everything was packaged well. The food was hot with good presence. The taste was not really not that good. Ive had better Asian food around the world. Honesty they could do better with the seasoning. We thought it was just another tourist spot thrown together eatery. The food was very bland... Price was reasonable, great parking, they are located in town. @glampedlife"

"Okay where to begin. First off the staff was rude. The man taking my order at the register I had to tell him three times what I wanted. The waitress when she delivered it to me said absolutely nothing and basically slammed it on the table. The portion of food was definitely not worth it. I had General Tso's chicken and basically the sauce was bland and watered down. I had asked for them to please make certain that it was spicy and it was far from it. I ordered shrimp fried rice and found no shrimp in my rice. I ordered the large combo and had seven small pieces of chicken. This place used to be the restaurant you wanted to go to and Travelers Rest for good Chinese food however now I wouldn't recommend it for anything."

"General take out Chinese joint with all the popular dishes. It’s conveniently located next to the brewery. Definitely will order again when we’re on Main Street grabbing drinks at Community Tap!"
