"This place was cute. Could use some updating, parking is tight so if you have a truck be careful lol not much of a view and I'm sure it's hard to get control of because you're near the water but there's mold.... oh and the beds. Are. So. Loud! Even if you guys don't update the house please get new beds."
"I used VRBO to book a family beach trip for Christmas. It was big enough to hold 20 guests with beach access across the street. Upon arrival, we could not believe the lack of cleanliness and maintenance to unit 102B. I took pictures of the concerns and the property manager just brushed it off. She claims to have done a walk through prior to our arrival and were aware of the "wear and tear". Seriously? Stained furniture, old blood spots on linens, air filters hadn't been changed, dust everywhere causing some with allergies to get congested or sick, no hot water in 2 of the bathrooms upstairs, broken or missing shelves in the refrigerator, stove was scratched up, I could go on. We were there for 3 nights and made the best of it since it's a nonrefundable booking. We definitely would not stay here again. They need to do a full renovation and thorough cleaning on this unit."
"Stay away from this place! It’s filthy dirty and trashy! We were supposed to be there for a week but we decided to leave after being there for 2 nights. The beds had clumps of hair, used tissues and some pillows blood stains. Bathrooms weren’t clean and smelled like mold. Under the beds we’re nasty and fans were full of dust. Pool was cloudy and smelled like weed. The family above us were so loud we had to call security several times. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!"
"The rooms are very nice and clean. The rooms, kitchen, sitting area, and etc were all spacious and comfortable. Everything that was needed was in the room. The view of the pool was nice. Location is great, close to beach and stores. I just love it. Oh the staff and security very nice. Will visit again."
"PLEASE READ & SHARE! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ, PLEASE! DO NOT rent from MAGGIE & JOHN QUINLAN. Here is why: 704 South Ocean Blvd, Unit 101B, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 (this is only 1 property these owners have) Our family took our parents on vacation for their wedding anniversary - our family being inclusive of a 1 and a 3 year old (my nieces). We drove in from just outside of Chicago and Georgia. As we continued our stay in this unit, things became progressively worse, without any help or care from these owners, and we would eventually find we were rented an UNINHABITABLE unit. We finally got in contact with the owners after countless emails and taking to social media to let others know of this horrendous experience. We were told, by the QUINLAN'S LAWYER (yes this is all memorialized in email), that if we removed/deleted our negative posts, they would issue a full refund. We obliged, were told there was a post we missed (which was true), and immediately removed as well. We expected a refund at this point to which we were told there were still negative posts. We of course double & triple checked, found that ALL negative posts had been removed, went as far as commenting on the google review that all issues pertaining to this matter were resolved, only to receive communication from the QUINLAN'S LAWYER that they were withdrawing their offer. So here we are, without a refund and no way to activate the old posts or reviews, so here is the new one. Below is a list of issues and there are photos and videos as evidence of what we went through. REMEMBER - Family vacation with a 1 & 3 year old! -Broken glass on living room table upon arrival (took two days for someone to come and remove). -Mold in the CHILDREN'S bedroom. Discovered after they had slept there for multiple days. (Mold test confirmed positive) -This room had to be quarantined for the rest of the trip for safety purposes displacing family to couch and others' rooms. -Water pooling in the ceiling. This would begin to leak after the second day. This was directly over the DINNER TABLE. -Falling ceiling debris as holes began to form - again, directly over the dinner table among other places in the kitchen. -Water pooling in the kitchen closet, coming from the ceiling, and FILLING a WIRED ELECTRICAL LIGHT FIXTURE. -Water running into the walls and into the living quarters, kitchen, etc. -Provided with an email should there be any issues. We reached out to said email and to this day, NEVER received a response. They would not even acknowledge that they provided a 'bogus' email account to 'take care of' issues. MAGGIE & JOHN QUINLAN showed zero compassion, were extremely difficult to 'work' with if you would call it that, and flat out lied by going back on their written agreement from their LAWYER to issue a refund.This is not the first time they have done something like this BUT PLEASE HELP this be the LAST. There are other reviews out there, such as a family that could not stay in the condos because it was MANDATED EVERYONE EVACUATE due to a HURRICANE. When that family asked for half of their money back they were told absolutely not and could only change their dates for an ADDITIONAL $600. PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD AND STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING TO SOMEONE ELSE. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH! *There was so much wrong and so many issues I am sure I am missing things. Thankfully, when it is all said and done, we have our family. We hope we can help others avoid the nightmare that is the QUINLAN'S."
