"I had an oil leak that I couldn’t identify where it was coming from and I was pushed for time. Spoke with Kevin Brown at Ironworks in Charlotte NC. He said bring the truck in. Kevin let me know what to expect and that they will search for the leak to see if it’s something they would do. The techs found the leak in a very unusual spot that wasn’t easy to get to. The job involved removing the radiator and other components to get to the leak easily. One of the technicians kept working at it and was able to fix the leak without needing to remove all the other components. This saved me a lot of time and labor and I just want to say I appreciate the work the techs did very much. 3 months later and all is well. I also want to thank Kevin, for keeping me informed the entire time and getting me in so quickly. What I appreciate is Kevin saying we know how it is for owner operators; we try to get them back on the road quickly. I will definitely use their services again. Thank you guys. I really mean it. "Words cannot express how grateful and thankful I am to have this company service my tractor. Please take a moment to read my journey. I came to Charlotte NC from Akron, OH (drove my 2011 Freightliner Cascadia 485 miles; no problem, issues, NOTHING, or so I thought) for training for Schneider’s Owner Operator lease on opportunity. When I dropped off my vehicle (at SNI) for a DOT inspection; the first day (Monday), I was told that my vehicle failed (for the most part, I was about to be sent home). My instructor gave me a list of phone numbers to call to see if I could get the repairs done before the following evening; or I would be sent back to Ohio, without compensation. ALL of the maintenance shops were booked out until the following week, including Ironing Maintenance. Long story short, I called Iron Maintenance and a wonderful gentleman named Kevin texted me to ask about my issue. After a brief phone conversation; I poured out my heart and my exact words, “I cannot go back to Ohio, NOBODY else can diagnose and/ or service my vehicle until the following week. If I cannot get my vehicle fixed, I will be sent back to Ohio… and I cannot go back home, until I get what I came her for”. Not only did Iron Maintenance fit my vehicle into a VERY BOOKED schedule, they were tasked with giving me “bad news” that I was NOT prepared to hear. My tractor needed costly repairs that superseded my $1200 and without the necessary repairs, my tractor was NOT going to pass the second DOT re-inspection and possibly not allow me to make it back to Ohio. By Wednesday morning; my hopes were fading fast, but God remained in control. The professional, skilled, kind, thoughtful, wonderful owner and staff at Iron Maintenance worked tirelessly to repair my tractor and kept the cost at an amount that I could afford. On Wed afternoon, I got the call that my tractor repairs were complete (with no guaranteed that It would pass SNI’s inspection standards) and I could come get my vehicle; but WAIT!!!! The OWNER came to pick me up at SNI and personally transported me to their shop (at NO CHARGE). Upon returning to SNI, my tractor was reinspected and IT PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS… Although I could NOT afford the necessary repairs, Iron Maintenance worked their “magic” and repaired my tractor to a safe and reliable standard. I am now and will forever be grateful for the wonderful people at Iron Maintenance. Thanks to them, I am an OWNER OPERATOR, I booked my very first load on Thursday. Words cannot express my gratitude. Please, ANYONE, EVERYONE, patronize this business. Tell your family, friends, co-workers… If you need your vehicle serviced; it will be in GOOD hands with the folks at Iron Maintenance.
