"I signed up for wellness plan at a banfield far from my home ony because of high ratings and satisfaction w one particular vet. That vet left about a month after I signed up. Now I'm stuck w a yr contract and vet I wanted gone and the banfield is 45 minutes away. I am NOT HAPPY W THIS!!"
"I love this Banfield hospital. I’ve been bringing my dog here since we was a few weeks old. They are very patient with my crazy beagle lol. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dog."
"This is the worst Banfield hospital I have ever been to. I would advise anyone reading this to not leave their dog here. Please visit another location. My dog was scheduled to have a dental cleaning and comprehensive exam at 8am. The lady up front told me that my dog should be ready by 2-3pm. I called around noon time to check on my dog and I’m told that she is doing well and is up next. I’m told that my dog should be available around 4-6pm. So I told them that I would come and get my dog. I speak to Dr Flynn who tells me it’s an all day procedure for her safety. She then tells me than Sunny should be next after another dog so my dog has been sitting in a crate for 3+ hours. It makes no sense that it would take 8-10 hours for my dog to get her teeth cleaned and exam. And when I voiced that concern to DR Flynn she didn’t even respond other than it’s an all day event. If it truly is, then Banfield should put that in their pamphlet when selling dental exams. It sounds like excuses for being behind. Do not go to this location."
"We took our new adopted puppy in for his first visit on June 7, 2021. We shared his adoption records and informed the young lady who signed us in that he had seen another vet late March for vaccines but we had no records of his March visit. We supplied her with the name of the clinic the adoption agency used and we assumed they would call to see what he had already received since he was only 6 months old. We were not allowed to discuss anything about our puppy prior to treatment and we were told the vet would call even though we were outside the door of the clinic and could see in (with our masks on.) The vet did call in a few minutes and informed me that he had given him the necessary vaccinations and he was good to go. It would have been nice to have been able to have had a discussion with him since he was our new puppy. Upon check out the office manager told us the bill was over $200 and when I ask was was done he immediately begin discussing the “Wellness Plan “ in order to save us money and spend a great deal of time discussing the benefits of it even though we had the coupon for the first free visit. He subtracted $5.00 from the bill for it! When we got home and looked over the services done to our puppy we discovered the vet gave him all the vaccinations he had already had in March. I immediately called and the manager Christopher informed me that they did not call other vets, clinics, etc.for information and the vaccinations should not hurt him if they did not bother him initially. I also contacted the adoption agency and they also called and spoke with Christopher. It was reported back to me by the adoption agency that he was very rude to her and also implied they didn’t call other vet clinics for information. As a result, my puppy received unnecessary vaccinations which did make him sick for 2 days. This is medical negligence and they were more concerned over money and selling their wellness plan than providing good quality medical care."
"Dr. Carey is the only vet I trust with my dog!! My sweet 3 year old puppy needed teeth extracted, after getting about 5 different opinions all over Charlotte it was not until we met Dr.Carey that I felt safe or comfortable with my pup having to go under anesthesia. Especially after a traumatic experience at Animal Medical Hospital on Monroe Road in Charlotte, where a vet told me my dogs tounge would hang out of his mouth forever after the surgery and that he might have cancer due to one blood test. When this vet told me he may have cancer she said it as though it was not an issue and was just a maybe thing, TERRBILE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I had my guard up after that and was against taking him to pretty much any vet at all! All things aside, I am so thankful for meeting Dr. Carey!! My dog loves her and it shows she truly loves and cares for his best interest. The cost at Banfield is affordable and all the staff is so nice! I know that I can trust Dr. Carey to give my precious puppy the best care! I scheduled the extraction surgery with Dr. Carey the day I met her, it was an instant feeling of trust. The surgery was completed without complications and my dog has recovered perfect! I refuse to take my dog to anyone but Dr. Carey and cannot thank her enough for giving my baby the best care. THANK YOU!"
