Reviews of OrthoCarolina Pediatric Orthopedic Center
"After meeting with Dr. Eric Dolan, I was left with the feeling that I had come to his home with questions about the condition of my child. All I heard was about a surgery that could correct our problem, but at the same time he insisted that he did not recommend it to us and nothing would help us. I had a hard time begging for physical therapy. It felt like the doctor wanted to leave after just 5 minutes of our meeting. At the end, it was already clear that he was annoyed and clearly showed with all his appearance that he did not want to answer my questions. I asked about another problem, whether it was possible to schedule another visit, he irritably answered “yes” and left silently with a dissatisfied face. At the front desk they refused to make an appointment for me, saying that we didn’t need it and the doctor didn’t tell them anything. It left a very unpleasant aftertaste. This is the first time I have encountered such an attitude"
"My 3 month old was referred to Ortho Carolina for possibly/mild hip dysplasia due to being in breech position up until 36 weeks while I was pregnant. We saw Caitlyn Ellis. She was amazing! She was very kind, and took her time with us. She explained everything she was doing and why while she checked my son's hips. After checking him, she held him and played with him while explaining next steps with me and answering all my questions which gave me a little break from holding him and showed how caring and good with little ones she is. The entire staff from check in to check out was kind and helpful. I 100% recommend!"
"Met with Dr. Casey to check out my son and new hip pain. Front desk very helpful and polite, excepted to room and seen in timely manner. Dr. Casey was very nice, able to review X-rays that were completed before she came in. Thorough exam and explanation for myself and my son. Will definitely return if issue does not resolve on its own."
"On December 28, 2021 my 14 yr son went in for scoliosis surgery and came out with a incomplete spinal cord injury. He was paralyzed from waist down from Dr. Polaski and Dr. Brighton putting a screw to far in his Spinal cord causing the injury. Do your homework and Becare who does your surgery we have a long, long road to any recovery. A 5 hour surgery turned into a horrible 11 hours and then into 56 day at 3 hospitals, $100,000+ medical bills, lawyers, fast foward 1.5 year of we are still doing therapy every week. My son will never be back to his normal life because of a "accident" that happened during a surgery."
