"Communication is atrocious. The day before a planned procedure, I got a call that it was going to cost me several thousand dollars (after insurance) which definitely blindsided me as that was the first time I had heard anything about the cost. I attempted to call the office 4x (not in a row) to get clarification, but no one ever picked up. No option to leave a message. Between the time spent trying to contact this office, speaking with the billing dept, and my insurance, I was on the phone 2 hrs straight in the middle of a workday trying to figure out what in the world was going on. I ended up sending a message through the MyChart app letting wakemed know about the issue and requesting additional info on this cost. I also said I wanted the procedure cancelled if I didn’t hear from anyone by the end of the day. I didn’t, so I did not go forward with the procedure. The next morning (the day the procedure was scheduled for), I missed a call from wakemed. I called the number back maybe 15 mins later, and it was an outbound line only. There was no voicemail left. Today, (8 days later) I got a reply to my MyChart message that said they were sorry about the situation and that they offer payment plans. This message is all I have heard from them. I haven’t gotten another call since the one I missed. This was also not the first time I have been unable to get anyone on the phone or received a message response that missed (or ignored) the actual point of the message. I’d strongly suggest going somewhere else. Definitely would’ve saved me a ton of time and stress."
"I had a throwing up experience after taking vitamins and waiting too long to eat breakfast. My chest had intense chest pain radiating into my spine. Heart attack was rules out! Extensive testing was done to prove my heart was not involved nor damaged. I could not ask for a more intensive treatment~"
"I will never NOT sing praises of Dr. Chowdhurys phenomenal bedside manner. From office appointments to procedures (I've had him for 3 procedures now) his kind demeanor never changes. He is kind and authentic. I'd be remiss to say that if he ever left the practice for any reason I would be devastated. Excellent work, Dr. Chowdhury and team! Jessica and Tiffany at the office are always fantastic and today I had Morgan RN that took exceptional care of me. Well done, all!"
