"Requested a visit with a doctor at The Women's Center Gastro of Cary. Received a call this morning from an office rep. Clearly stated Dr. Michael Brody told her to inform me he refused to see me. I asked why? She mumbled because he was upset with me because he claimed I had visited the office way back in 2008 to see about an issue I was having. After the visit with Dr. Brody, he said I decided to take my business elsewhere and allow another gastrologist at a different office take care of my health concern. In other words I chose 15 years ago to go with my second opinion and not spend my money at the practice he represents. Are you kidding me??????? Dr. Brody also told this office rep that he had gone into my medical records to see who I had gone to. That was not authorized nor any of his business. I'm still trying to wrap my self around this conversation. No way I would trust nor want to visit with such an obnoxious over sensitive so called doctor that conducted himself this way!!! You refuse to help a patient because you got your feelings bruised? I never gave this odd individual permission to pilfer through my private health records. I would never go to this unorganized lackadasical pitiful excuse for a medical practice. Never have I experienced such unprofessional behavior. Now I've Reserached this place and learned about their sub practices on how they have treated many patients...I'm grateful I didn't get pulled into such a negative unuseful practice. Ridiculous!! Get a clue "Dr." Brody...can you you afford to lose patients like this? Do your research before investing in a practice as this one."
"I filled out a form to set up a new patient appointment. I received a call back same day which was great. The person on the other end basically told me I could not come there to get a second opinion and that the doctors didn't do any kind of surgery. I don't need any kind of surgery never said I did she assumed this! I told her I didn't need a surgery and just basically wanted a new GI doctor preferably a women. She goes on to ask well the practice that you were at first didn't have any women doctors? Very unprofessional. I said yes but this group was recommended to me so I wanted to see if they were a better fit. After going back and forth with her I decided I wasn't even interested in making the appointment anymore. She was not a doctor and it was not her place to go back and forth with me. I needed her to set an appointment for me and let the doctors move forward with the discussion if they would be a good fit or not."
"I started with Dr. Scholl back in June. She was very nice and I felt like I was in good hands. She was supposed to call me to discuss some test results. *Crickets* I inquired several times via phone and patient portal. Several weeks later, I was told she left. I was not given any updates about my health issues (although I did receive bills). I continued to ask for the results and was told they scheduled a telehealth appointment at 12:45. I called at noon to make sure it was all set up. Assured it was. A nurse called at 12:47 for basic information I already had given. I called back at 1:15 because I had yet to get an e-mail to start the appointment. The receptionist I spoke to this time said she didn't see my appointment. Someone else took the call and told me the doctor was running late and it would be 5 more minutes. I spoke to someone again about 2:15. I was told "it's no big deal" to be running late and all doctors do it. That isn't wrong, but running over two hours late AND not communicating this with patients isn't the norm. The nurse gave me a choice of taking the appointment whenever it happened or to reschedule, but she couldn't tell me if it would be anywhere near the scheduled time. This practice does not honor your time or communicate well. There was no apology and a callous attitude towards patients isn't acceptable. I selected a third option, to leave the practice."
"Very professional and friendly. I never have to wait long and the nurse is always knowledgeable and happy to help with questions. Dr. Miller is so nice and listens to what you are saying. She asks questions and answers yours. I would recommend this practice to every woman with a need for this specialty."
"I had my first appointment at this office today and it was a great experience. I previously had a disappointing experience at another practice and came here for a second opinion. Dr Scholl listened closely to my symptoms and concerns. Based on the diagnosis, she recommended a course of treatment that I feel comfortable with. I definitely recommend them!"
