"My son underwent psycho-educational testing and he and I met with Ms. Minter so she could put him on a low dose of an SSRI to optimize his treatment following a diagnosis of mild depression. I explained very clearly to her, that despite my hesitation to start him on this type of medication, it was necessary as part of the coordinated care with his therapist, someone he has worked with for a long time and whom we trust. Following the appointment she took time to think thru the options and responded that evening and said she wanted to start him on vitamin therapy. I looked at the information she sent and was rather alarmed. I messaged her and at my insistence she agreed to put him on a very low dose of an SSRI. That was the first red flag. The second was that she wanted my son to return once a week. I have worked with psychiatrists in the past and had never heard of coming in once a week for medication management, particularly one that was at such a low dose. Ms. Minter is not inexpensive and if we were going to have to return so frequently I wanted to open a conversation with the practice manager about filing my insurance before I paid the bill. (Despite being in-network she had already suggested to me that I was the one responsible for filing my insurance claim and that confused me so much that I called my insurance to find out if this was normal.) The manager quickly responded and said that payment was due at the time of service and that the bill needed to be paid prior to my son's next visit implying that he was not welcome to return if it had not been paid. Ms. Minter wrote his prescription so that he was required to return to receive a refill and it was entirely unprofessional to hold hostage my son's psychotropic medicine when I merely wanted to see if insurance could be filed first. Needless to say I paid the bill and found a new provider. Now all that is remaining is to get my refund from them for overpayment. I have asked twice and was given an assurance that the check would be on its way immediately. I could provide screen shots of messages with the Ms. Minter and the office manager but long story short, I cannot recommend this practice."

Additionally, she is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a provider that combines such personal touches and care for their patients. Her office aesthetic is Beautiful and Welcoming and adds comfort to the experience from start to finish.
