"It was unpleasant experience having my prenatal appointments at the Wake County Health Department at departure Drive. I was asked to be escorted out by a security officer by Carmen Larson, one of the staff workers there, before she told the security officer to get her out of here. It was embarrassing and humiliating. She provided falsely information to me why the provider could not complete my FMLA paperwork for short term disability through my employer. Ms. Larson stated that I am high risk and the provider does not have qualifications to complete the paperwork. Why have the provider completed my previously FMLA paperwork? I have been high risk since I have started attending the health department on departure Drive because of my age. Why will Ms. Larson going to tell me that she sees no reason for the accommodation and my request for short term disability. She is not the provider who been assisting me on my healthcare needs and/or FMLA paperwork. Who is she to make such statements? This lady is over her head and needs to be removed from this department. Since I have Medicaid for pregnancy women, I have faced lack of health care services due to the discrimination against Medicaid. Many prescribers are not taking Medicaid as primary. But some private offices will take Medicaid for secondary if you have a primary insurance. My entire pregnancy have been frustration due to the lack of assistance."
