"1st time visit. Reception personnel were courteous and efficient. Although i was early for my appt, my wait time was less than 15 minutes. Dr Muir and his PA were well versed on my medical history (going back 10 years). They were very knowledgeable, they both spoke to me at a level I understood and made me feel as part of the team. They explained concerns, my role and effort required for better health and explained our way ahead. I veryuch appreciate the medical team and practice."
"I went to Duke for my first colonoscopy and every single step was seamless. The staff was caring and kind, and the process was remarkably efficient. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. I’m grateful they made it so easy."
"Duke got our referral on Monday and it’s still sitting in a box to be processed. I can see all the negative comments and I know why. They told me it can take up to 14 day to schedule an appointment. This should not be acceptable at Duke. You have all your customer support people at home working and it is not working for you! Wake up Duke and do better customer service."
"Excellent service. Everyone, including our nurse Annette, Dr. Amit, Dr. Young, and John, was very professional and nice. They understood that the patient was nervous about the colonoscopy, and they tried their best to help you relax. We really appreciate it."
"Appointment made in July 2021 for procedure (September 2021) and follow-up (November 2021). All were “1st available” due to ongoing and worsening undiagnosed condition. September procedure went well but pathology results (posted to my health app so I saw them) were never discussed by physician, advised to “keep follow up”. Took two weeks of messaging to get orders for imaging for what I read in my pathology results, with symptoms every day that seriously affect my quality of life. (Have lost 80lbs, unexplained.) Of course nothing showed on images. One business day prior to the November follow-up (scheduled in July 2021) I received a *message via health app* that my appointment must be rescheduled. I called back within an hour of receiving the message. Was offered an appointment for JANUARY 2022. By the grace of God I was able to schedule a video appointment for three weeks from now. I hope the clinic comes to understand this issue as I reached out for help but have not heard back. I have lost over 25% of my BMI and have been trying to get help but Duke GI at Brier Creek has treated me just the same as Cape Fear Valley, and that is really sad considering that Duke GI is so highly rated. I had high hopes, but have given up at this point. Instead of receiving medical care I am instead focusing on enjoying the time I have left. Thank you for reading."
