"The doctor only performs the procedure in Asheville about once a month so there were 10 other people there when I went to get mine done. I was worried that it would be an impersonal get them in/get them out kind of assembly line. It turned out to be quite the opposite. The doctor took us all back and sat us down together and walked us through everything and asked if we had any questions. He was very thorough and also joked around a bit to lighten the mood though he assured us it was going to be all business in the laser room. Everyone there was feeling the same nervous excitement so instead of a bunch of strangers there was actually a feeling of camaraderie like we were all in it together. I had neglected to consider my long hair not fitting under a hairnet and one of my fellow travelers was nice enough to give me a scrunchie. (Thank you nice lady!) They are not exaggerating when they tell you how fast the procedure is and before I knew it I was sitting on a bench out front waiting for my roommate to pick me up. I'm a few months out now so I've gone to my eye doctor for several follow up exams and she said that it is absolutely perfect, she could barely even tell it had been done. My vision is still where it is supposed to be. I got mono vision so one eye is under powered for reading which I've had no problems with. Tl;dr: Very friendly capable people that seem to actually enjoy what they're doing. Highly recommended."
