"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! they send you final notice but not provide the invoice for this notice and then send your non approved debt to collection agency!!"
"I received a Collection agency referral letter for a few dollars bill that was paid by my insurance yet they sent it to collections just because when they switched billing agencies they never got the updated status on customers billing account. What a joke!"
"My wife received a letter (not a bill) in the mail that was very threatening in nature. It said her account would be sent to a collection agency in 10 days if not paid. We quite frankly thought this was a scam. We had never been billed. There were no details about the claim, like service date etc. The provider was listed as Presbyterian Pathology Group, but in Toledo Ohio. We are in Charlotte NC. I was unsure whether to ignore it or investigate. I chose to investigate. The threatening letter had total charges, payments, adjustments and balance due. I looked on the Medicare site and found a matching claim that had been paid by Medicare. I checked the Medicare supplement EOBs and found that they had paid the amount that this letter claimed was due. I called Presbyterian Pathology Group to discuss, but was rerouted to a billing company that advised me they no longer did billing for PPG. I had to drag out of her what company she worked for (Change Health Care). I asked why I was routed to her if they were no longer billing for PPG. NO SATISFACTORY ANSWER. I persisted and got in touch with the new billing company and the automated system told me that we were paid up. I continued to talk to an individual and rant about this whole mess. The representative from the new billing company (APS which is in Toledo Ohio) finally told me that when the change of billing companies occurred, that the supplement payment wasn't transferred. Later they got that straightened out and we didn't owe anything. However they still sent the nasty letter. Still not convinced it isn't a scam. I have read that some people paid for fear of going to collections. They probably didn't owe either. Sorry I can't rate lower than 1."
"DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. They will bill you without a valid account number, without a valid website to make payment, without a billing department to call (they will tell you to call Novant and Novant will tell you to call Presbyterian. And to top it off, their call center to accept payments was offshore and informed me today that their contract with Presbyterian has been cancelled. So THEY can't accept your payment. Oh, and they will keep mailing you stating that your bill is going to collections but with outdated information so that the patient cannot make a payment. Their "patient advocates" just route you to the terminated call center. So while my bill is in collections, I cannot do anything. No one will accept payment here. But they threaten to send my bill to collections without accepting payment. I'm at a stalemate. Another patient mentioned that this all sounded like a scam and it is."
"Got a collections notice. Called and told them that I did not receive the bill asking them to send me the bill and also get it back from collection agency. They agreed, but did not send me the new bill. Collection agency notified the credit agency. It was a shocker when we were trying to get a loan and the credit score was less because of this. I will never use their services."
