John Rose: Allstate Insurance

"11 1/2 years with Allstate (Rose), always filed my claims on line, took pictures dealt with company direct. First and only contact during a home claim John Rose refused to return calls or emails and his staff was polite and useless. Had to deal direct with Allstate while Rose was MIA. I needed guidance from an attorney and another insurance company agent. No stars here."

"John Rose and Allstate tols my wife we did not have towing and left her stranded on the side of the road with 2 children.Not only did we have towing but we had, but getting a response from John rose has been Impossible! YOU ARE NOT IN GOOD HANDS WITH JOHN ROSE OR ALLSTATE."

"Was blindsided by this company when shopping for new insurance. They provided us we what we thought at the time was good rates. So my husband and I moved our car insurance over, moved our son’s car insurance over, our house insurance and also took out life insurance with them. Six months later my son’s insurance goes up 55% and when asked why, since in the 6 months his record has not changed we are only told “everything in NC has gone up”. I get that things cost more now, especially after years of Covid, but feel like we were dudded into moving over only for them to more than double the cost after 6 months. And never mind speaking with someone about it, they don’t want to hear it. Very bad customer service when you call to discuss, they blame everything on their systems. Update based on AS response: Yes enrolling in DriveWise provides a 5 to 10% discount, understood. My son was not enrolled prior, so you have to compare apples to apples. Our insurance went up at renewal 8%, his 55%. No change to driving record. Does not add up."

"The agency sends marketing mail to look like a government issued check. You need to carefully tear the three sides of the envelop to discover the ad. Sorry Allstate - I wouldn't use an agency that has such deceptive advertising tactics. If that's how you start a relationship I can't imagine what you'd try to pull on me with insurance paperwork."

"Update: Even after Allstate called to tell me I would be removed from Roses marketing, they still continue to send letters. Time for another BBB complaint. Edit: Response from owner clearly shows their lack for understanding. Not sure I'd ever trust them with my insurance needs. Update: they are continuing to send letters. Their latest letters look like paychecks or bank statements. So slimy. I would t trust these guys. Look at the other reviews. Not a fan of this company. They send manipulating letters that mimic government letters in order to make you open them. They are copying what a jury summons or an IRS letter looks like with warnings and government seals on it. I can tell you I won't ever be using a company that is trying to manipulate the public."
