"Actual thrift store prices. Karm prices are way too high, often more than the item was when new. Amvets prices clothing for less than $5 in most cases, and they have a lot of really decent items."

"There was an item on the shelf without a price tag and they refused to price the item and sell it to me, said it would have to wait until the next day. I've had a priceless item at the alcoa location and they priced it in front of me right then. Very disappointed as I really wanted that item."

"Edited to add: my spouse and I decided that we would rent a truck to drop off the furniture that they had ALREADY AGREED to take, and after paying the money to get said truck and we arrived, they said they couldn't take it and proceeded to be incredibly rude to the both of us. This place of business is absolutely terrible. Will never be coming here again, and now we are out more than $100 just to get rid of a couch. I had called into AmVets after calling around to a few other places in order to have a couch and a dresser moved and I was very happy to donate them both. The set up for the pickup was relatively easy, but I had specifically requested advanced notice because I'd have to come in from out of town. The morning of the scheduled pickup day comes and I am only given 20 minutes notice - I am an hour and a half away. While I try to get in touch with someone, I get hung up on four times trying to call the donation center directly. When I try speaking to an operator, I keep getting transferred and, of course, keep getting hung up on. When I am FINALLY able to speak to someone in the donation center, I'm transferred to a voicemail that incorrectly tells me I'm calling outside of business hours. I have not been quite so frustrated with service like this before. Especially since, after exhausting all of my options, I call back again as if I'm setting up a pickup for the first time. The woman who transferred me to the VM because she couldn't help me the first time answers again, and has no trouble giving me pickup information this time around - letting me know that they won't be able to come out until November 6th. I had done all of this in advance so that I could have furniture moved from the apartment I was vacating by October 31st lol."

"Prices are good, way better than Karm. Manager could be a little kinder. My husband found a mirror for $20, and as soon as he picked it up by the wire it hangs on, it completely ripped in the back. So when he asked for a few dollars off the now broken mirror, the manager said “well I saw you drop it so I can do $1.” Not complaining about not getting a discount per say, I’m definitely complaining about my husband being blamed for the mirror ripping when he did not drop it, the backside ripped because it was obviously not in fair condition. I know people hate being at work, but don’t be in management if you can’t force some fake nice."

"I have enjoyed visiting this thrift store! They have a wide range of clothes and a decent stock of furniture and other household items. I have found several clothing items to help build both a professional and casual wardrobe, in both classic and trendy styles. Clothes are usually priced reasonably, and they always have sales on certain colored tags."
