"Parent's BEWARE! All that glitters is not gold. The teachers DO NOT watch the children. How does a child get hurt 5 time in 1 month during supervised care. They don't contact you or give an incident report. They NEVER know what actually happened. It looks like a nice place but don't be fooled. Very disappointed.. the children are the ones who suffer"
"Well for starters I was excited about my daughter attending school here. Her father went to school here during his pre k.yrs so I thought it was a blessing that this school were picked for her to attend. However the yr started off ok. As time went on things started not to ads up my daughters behavior changed and I knew the things they would call me for wasn't things of my daughters behavior. So I started discipline her right in front of them every time they told me something . Then 1 day somethingcame to me and said stop beating your kid and check on the situation. So my God when I did it was bad . The whole time this so called pastor of a teacher by the name of Erica Land she was being evil to her. I had several meetings wid her and the school principal another evil person that goes by the name of Ms. Elanoir whom never seen no wrong in her teacher. I have referenced so much wrong doing and critism of parents from the unprofessional people it is ashamed. So my advice to anyone who plans on letting their kid attend this school or any school it's all kinds of spirits in the world. Keep a eye on your kids all teachers don't have a merry passion for kids some just come to get that check This whole school is a wolf in sheep's clothing beware."
"We sent our son to First Ward CDC - a 3 year old boy who doesn't speak a word of English. The Montessori group is unique! In addition, very warm teaching staff, the Director and administration staff are amazing. We felt like at the family table. Full confidence and a smile on your face. My son asked me to pick him up later because he is feeling great and having fun and this is the best review I can write."
"Very clean place. All staff are friendly. My daughter’s teachers are so sweet and always attention to my little daughter education and progress. I feel safe and happy that my daughter grow up with them."
"Best CDC in Charlotte We had just moved to Charlotte and got pregnant for the first time. Thus began the arduous task of selecting a CDC for our upcoming precious angel. Only the best would do. We looked. And looked. And then met Eleanor Toliver and her staff at First Ward CDC and knew that this was the place. We weren't disappointed. In fact, over the six years we were there, two daughters before entering Pre-K, I can say it was one of the best decisions we've ever made as parents. Is it perfect? Well, I don't think perfection exists, but FWCDC is as close to perfect as we can tell looking back. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accessible. Our daughters were always safe and engaged. They took little field trips into town. There were always arts and crafts. There was even a Spanish immersion teacher who would come by and work with the kids. Naturally, this all occurred before Google ratings when we now have the opportunity to publicly give a low rating to any organization just because you had a bad day. Or a receptionist may have had a bad moment. Both me and my wife, and even our daughters now who love going back to visit, would agree that there's no other place we wished we'd selected for the early development of our children than First Ward CDC. I wish we could give it ten stars."
