"I came down from Cincinnati to go to Carowinds. This hotel is extremely close. It is within walking distance. The hotel looked very nice. The rooms were well kept. It's not real fancy, but I was looking for something close to Carowinds and affordable as well. That's exactly what I got. I would certainly consider staying here again if I come back down to Carowinds. And I most likely will sometime. I certainly recommend this place."
"This is my second weekend in a row coming to stay here and it was nice again :) . When I arrived the check in was smooth and fast! The front desk rep Rhonda was sooo sweet and she even made me some coffee before she left 50 minutes before the end of her shift and I GREATLY appreciated that! The rooms were nice and up to date and the beds were soooooo comfortable and soft! The breakfast was ok simple meal to start your day. The housekeepers were very nice and the rooms were cleaned for the most part but each time I came the showers had hair in there which I feel could be cleaned better so I took away one star. The outside was clean and quiet. Close to the store and a few eating spots and literally RIGHT across from Carowinds! This will def be my go to spot when I’m in town!"
"Room was pretty clean but small and everything was damp feeling from humidity. The ice machine and vending machine didn't work on our floor and the drink machine was out of what I wanted. Breakfast was lacking. It's fine for a night on a budget but imo that's about it."
"After staying one night at the Clarion, we cancelled the rest of our reservation and moved over here. Much nicer place than the clarion but still not perfect. The AC worked great, we slept well, but couldn’t tell if there were bed bugs or not, they might have followed us over from the Clarion. This place’s pool was ALSO closed, and the lights in the bathroom kept malfunctioning. Good service though, solid breakfast, and great location."
