The Black Tux at Nordstrom 4400 Sharon Road, Charlotte, NC 28211

"This was probably the single worst experience I’ve ever had with a retailer. 1.) I was charged to rent a tux I was assured would be sized correctly…it was not and had to be altered. Understanding that I would have to buy the jacket, I was offered a $15 voucher…for alterations that cost me $85. I then found out that even though I BOUGHT THE JACKET (for $220) I would not be reimbursed for renting the jacket ($119 initial expense). So I paid to rent AND buy the same tux jacket. 2.) the Groom’s tuxedo didn’t fit, showed up missing components that were paid for and showed up dirty. 3.) another Groomsman got a shirt that was the wrong size, and returned it only to get another shirt that was the wrong size. 4.) customer service was wildly unhelpful, and completely apathetic to the fact that these rentals were to facilitate a major event in someone’s life and that this additional stress didn’t help the situation at all. I would not recommend this service to ANYONE, for any event. Wildly disappointed doesn’t even begin to explain it."

"I was taken on time for my appointment. The gentleman helping me was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I showed him a photo of a tuxedo and he essentially built that tuxedo for me. The tuxedo arrived earlier than the date expected. I tried it on and noticed an issue with the pants. I contacted TBT online and included a photograph of the issue. I received a call shortly thereafter and the customer service representative told me TBT would send a replacement pair of pants to me which pants also arrived earlier than expected. Overall, I am happy with the process and recommend TBT to others."

"As I entered the mall I found myself in a midst of confusion before I found Bill and his associate (I did not catch his name as he did not tailor me). Once our appointment began, getting me and my groomsman in the perfect tuxedo was his mission and did they succeed. The process was quick and easy; the service was professional and thoughtful. Nothing else to say."

"Excellent experience working with Bill on getting fitted for my friend's wedding. Really appreciated him checking and giving options on sizing given the wedding is a few months away, and I do a lot of rowing in the fall. Absolutely would come back when looking for a tux for myself."

"Pure unprofessionalism from this scam of a company. They canceled my fiances first appointment the day before it was supposed to happen... fine, we got over it. We rescheduled for a week later and planned our week around it, they called the morning of to cancel again!! So we scheduled a THIRD appointment for a weekday (maybe their weekends are crazy, I don't know) but no! They just called me to cancel the weekday appointment. This is a joke of a company that disrespects potential clients' time. The most unreliable and unprofessional I have ever dealt with. Do NOT recommend! The same excuse for the cancellation was used on all three occasions... "due to unforeseen circumstances we have to cancel your appointment", and they'll say they will send a $20 coupon, but what good is that if you can't even get fitted for a tuxedo without them cancelling? I hope a reputable company replaces them. I am surprised that a renowned business such as Nordstrom is affiliated with them."
