"Great shopping experience yesterday. I had an appointment with Gayle. I told her what I was looking for and she brought numerous items to the dressing room for me to try. I didn’t have to go searching the store, which was very nice. Gayle was very helpful and honest about what looked good on me and what didn’t. I went in the store to buy a black dress and left with three dresses and a pair of shoes. Thanks Gayle for a very enjoyable experience."

"I’ve shopped at Talbots for a number of years and I was really disappointed with the service from this location. I recently moved to a city that does not have a Talbots and I either drive 1+ to a nearest store or shop online. This particular time I found a dress online and wanted to have the store send it to me. I reserved the dress online (like the website said you should do). I called the store three times and each time I talked to a different associate who said they would call me back. The first time I called the associate said, “It’s really busy and I don’t have time to help but I can call you back in 20 minutes.” I waited for about an hour and called back and that associate said they would call me back. I then called back again and the associate said that they would call me back. This time, I waited three hours and called back. The last time I perceived an attitude - as if I was bothering them about paying for merchandise in the store. And I felt like I needed to say something. I said, “I feel like there is an attitude each time I call about a dress that I reserved.” The associate said, “We are open an extra hour and everyone is trying to come in and we’ve been here for 10 hours.” #1 - that’s not my problem. #2 - I would think the store would be excited that in this economy people are wanted to purchase items from the store. And lastly, where is the customer service for the person receiving this tension. I will NEVER purchase an item from this store EVER! Learn some customer service skills!"

"I can’t thank this store enough for their assistance. I had a death in the family and needed to leave for a wake and funeral, but was in between moves and all my clothes and dresses were in our mover’s storage facility. My son was sent home sick from school as well. I desperately needed 1 or 2 dresses and needed to get them quickly. I called the store at 7:30 pm and spoke to Polly. I asked if she could shop for me and find black or dark colored dresses around my size and have them waiting in a fitting room for me the next morning, so I could swing in fast and try them on. She did exactly that. I walked into the fitting room and Jennifer helped me select which ones to try on first. Two of the first 3 fit and I bought the beautiful black wrap that Polly set aside as well. I was in and out in under 15 minutes with all the outfits I needed. Thank you to the staff for providing exactly the service and personal assistance that I needed at a hectic and stressful time."
