"This place does fast casual mediterranean better than most. I usually go with the build your own bowl & occasionally with a pita. They offer a wide variety of toppings and do not limit you in how many you can add. The meats are flavorful & tender, and the falafel is some of the best I’ve ever had. I have visited this location in numerous occasions and it used to be a 5 star experience. The reasons I would give it a 4 star now: 1) The pita used to be freshly made. They had a station and you could watch them making it while you were in line. It seems this changed around COVID and they started handing out a different pita which is not as good as the one they used to make. 2) In at least my past 2-3 visits, it seems they are skimping on the scoop size of the toppings. Before they would put a generous scoop of cucumber salad, hummus, or tabbouleh, etc. Now it seems they have smaller scoops or are purposely scooping smaller. 3) Normally the service is speedy & they work you right through the line but on one of my more recent visits we had to wait an extended period of time (about 30 min), not because the line was long, but because they continued to fill online orders instead of serving those in line. They ran out of falafel (due to a large online order) and it took an additional 5-10 minutes to make a fresh batch. I visited today and was pleased they worked us right through & had plenty of falafel. One more positive to end with-the Mac & cheese is fantastic and I love that you can add a scoop to your bowl for 99 cents."

"We stopped in for a quick bite on the way to a comedy show. My girlfriend said she wasn’t hungry but dove in once she tried the bowl! The amba chicken salad is great! It tastes like an Indian curry. The grape leaves and hummus are good too. The chicken shawarma was juicy and full of flavor. We also got a side of the Greek Yogurt Mac & cheese which is extremely creamy and comforting. Nice spot!!"

"We ate so fast, no pictures of food. Sorry guys... This is one of my favorite restaurants for date nights! It's also 1.5 miles away from French bakery for dessert! AMELIES. Very healthy and filling food choices at YAFO!"
