"In terms of quality, variety, flavors, ambiance and service- Chapter 6 is one of the best restaurants I've tried. Every dish was so different and yet all incredibly delicious. I double down on the amazing service and attention. Will definitely go back."
"Hit the nail on the head here! My party tried the tasting menu - we cannot decide what we wanted to eat so the server did for us! It was the perfect amount of food as we both left, full and very satisfied. The octopus was my favorite. My friend enjoyed the skate."
"Had an amazing dinner at Chapter 6. Really cool vibe in a beautiful space. The Mediterranean menu is large with a variety of mezze, apps, skewers, small plates and mains. We tried the chickpea tzatsiki dish off the mezze menu, the octopus and lamb skewers, the braised lamb gnocchi from the small plates menu and the 1/2 chicken tagine from the large plates menu. All of our dishes were very flavorful and delicious. Our faves were definitely the chickpea dish and the chicken tagine was a must-get. It was incredible. With so many options, we'll definitely go back and try a few other dishes."
"My husband and I were excited to try Jon Dressler’s new tapas restaurant, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Chapter 6 is located in the new building, The Line, with its own parking garage. (Parking was $10 on a Saturday evening, and not validated by the restaurant.) Despite being next to Sycamore Brewing, we couldn’t hear any noise from the live band next door while dining at Chapter 6. We ate in the quiet dining room directly to the left of the hostess stand. Tables were nicely separated, the decor was lovely, and the dining room was comfortable. Service was exceptional. We started with two Peace & Friendship cocktails. While a bit small and I’m not sure they were worth $15, they were still very good. We are big fans of sharing small plates, so Chapter 6’s menu was right up our alley. We enjoyed everything we tried, too! Here’s a rundown of our dishes - 1. Melty Nduja - A, This dish was incredible! The peppers added so much to the flavor, and the accompanying bread was perfect. This was my husband’s favorite dish. 2. Octopus Skewer - A, This dish was small, but mighty! The octopus was perfectly cooked—tender and very flavorful, especially with the added chimichurri. 3. Spiced Lamb Kefta Skewer - B, The lamb might have been slightly overcooked, but the flavor was there. We enjoyed the homemade tzatziki sauce, too. 4. Skate Wing - A, We’ve never had skate before, but this dish melted in our mouths. It was light in texture, tender, and absolutely delicious. 5. Seafood Stew - A, The broth was very flavorful and the seafood was perfectly cooked. This was my favorite dish. 6. Olive oil almond cake - B+ - Dense texture, but very moist! Of all the dishes, we would repeat all of them, with the exception of the kefta. It was good, but we’d like to try something else on the menu next time. All told, this was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. We’ll definitely be back!"
"Went there with a friend on Friday night. The front desk and our server were super nice and helpful - great service did give great first impression. The layout of the restaurant is nice - high tables, dining room, bar - can host groups from 2 to 8. The distance between the tables is good as well. The food was not as impressive as I thought it would be. Not saying that it was not good, but my expectation was very high - I’ve had great experiences with other Rare Roots restaurants, and this one - to some extent - is the “replacement” of Dogwood. Just not the best Mediterranean food I had in Charlotte. I wish the kitchen could put less salt in most of the dishes, and the octopus was a bit over cooked (over tendered). They offer $70 pp tasting menu which is a good option to try more dishes with a smaller group visiting. Also note that there is only street parking and no parking validation."
