"In October 2024, my wife found this hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant and due to the reviews, we decided to give it a try! Great decision! Tasty food that seem very genuine Vietnamese! Highly recommend"

"BEWARE! SHADY BUSINESS! Double check your receipts!!! I came here based on the reviews. The food was decent. We ordered 5 entrees, so the total bill should have been around $85-90 plus tax (average $16-18 per entree). They gave us a bill of $115. I asked the waitress (looked like one of the owners) if the tip was included, to which she replied NO. I calculated our total bill with tax (9.25%) should have been around $98 without the tips. So the $115 didn’t make sense. I went to the front desk to ask for the itemized receipt. The same waitress/owner that served us calculated my bill and total came out to $86 before tax. When I asked her how she got the $115 from, she said there is a different person that prepares the bill, so she wasn’t sure. Another older lady came to the register and said she would clarify the bill. After she entered our entrees totals, she said she got the $114 after adding $10-15 in tips (a random amount, not based on any percentages). Since the bill and totals are hand-written here, you have to double check what total they put in. It looks like if you order higher number of entrees, they add extra $10-30 to the bill for any unsuspecting customers with the expectation that the customers won’t verify. Please double check your bill to make sure they are charging the correct amount. SHADY BUSINESS! We won’t be back and won’t recommend it to anyone!"

"Well worth coming here. Delicious food, welcoming and hard working staff with reasonable prices. I will happily be back to enjoy it again. This place was on several food lists for the area. It didn't disappoint."

"This is an all around 5 star Charlotte staple. An absolute must! A quaint restaurant with a friendly, attentive and helpful staff, offering an expansive menu of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Chicken, pork, shrimp and vegan dishes up and down the menu. We tried a few different dishes: curry, potato pancake, make-your-own spring rolls and squid garlic sauce. It all was so delicious. The ONLY downside is parking. It's a small lot and with as busy as Lang Van gets, sometimes it can be difficult to find a spot. But circle the lot a few times or park down the street because this place is worth it!"

"Wow. Just… Wow. Flew into Charlotte for business and a colleague suggested we come here. I’m very glad he suggested it. The service was phenomenal, the food was delicious, and it’s very reasonably priced. Definitely read the history of this place on their website before you come. I had some of the best spring rolls I think I’ve ever had. In the pictures, you see the pineapple fried rice, the hot pot with tofu, and I think the ginger stirfry. They were all delicious! (and I’m not that big of a tofu fan). Don’t let the outside of this place fool you, it was truly a wonderful experience."
