"I’m occasionally a little confused when I arrive to find empty tables because The Asbury is so delicious AND because it’s kind of an oasis in the middle of Uptown. The food is truly delicious (my fiance says their burger is his favorite in all of Charlotte), they validate parking, and it’s not a chain - what could be better?"
"I had a salad and gnocchi and they were both delicious! The waiter was also very knowledgeable about the menu and provided fantastic service."
"Great experience! On a short business trip and staying nearby; I walked in to try the food. I enjoyed the lunch so much that I also went back for dinner. Tasty, healthy, homey food options. Friendly service and great ambiance."
"Haley was a our Server. She was a pleasant and patient person. The Food was delicious and well seasoned. We celebrated a friend Birthday. Fabulous experience by the Chef, Server, and Valet attendant."
"The Asbury was quiet early on a Monday morning. That allowed me the opportunity to chat with staff and recover following a late night at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. Nikki M is a fantastic server and was perfectly attentive without hovering. I’d hoped to try the Chicken Biscuit with the piquillo cream cheese and blueberry jam, but they were out of chicken (not surprising after a busy weekend). I got my second choice, the Classic Breakfast. The scrambled eggs were good, the bacon extra crispy (just as I like it), and the jalapeno & smoked gouda potato cake, while just a little bit greasy, was scrumptious. The biscuit was overcooked but flakey enough to separate. Once the harder outside layers were removed, it met the expectations of this “southern rustic fare” restaurant. Its location inside The Dunhill allowed me a quick peak of Charlotte’s only “historic boutique hotel." Next time I’ll try to stay onsite and take advantage of the full bar and an expanded menu at The Asbury."
