The wait is ALWAYS 20 minutes that's to get you to sit outside while the get the leftovers out to microwave! I called an told the the girl about respectfully she IMMEDIATELY GOT AN ATTITUDE AN SAID OUR FISH ALWAYS .FRESH.. I SAID NO.. SHE SAID WELL ALL I CAN DO IS GIVE YOU ANOTHER PLATE!!?? ANOTHER PLATE YOU JUST GAVE ME GARBAGE?? I DIDN'T SAY THAT ..JUST OK.. NEVER WENT TO GET IT. IM DONE. IT IS SAD MONEY IS THE MENU... BUT WE TRY AN SUPPOSE OUR COMMUNITY!? THE FISH COME OUT OF FOOD LION?!? THE WORST!!!"
"Went here because an IG post said it was a “must try” and I read the reviews which were pretty decent. We got there and aesthetically it’s ok, some of the best food come out of places with a “meh” atmosphere. It was clean and music was good. The cashier was not welcoming, she would cut us off before we finished our response was completed. Her: You know what you want” Me: Oxtail and Ri…Her: It comes w rice. The customer service from her pretty much felt like “you glad I’m taking your order” type of vibe. We ordered brown stew chicken, which tasted like sweet chicken and the only thing that was brown was the rice and peas. It was terrible (see picture). The oxtail on the other hand was pretty decent. All the sides for both entrees was flavorless (green beans, cabbage, Mac n cheese). They were all bland. I don’t recommend this place taking all things considered."
"The food is delicious, but please expect to pay more for less. The amount of food that they give you for the price that they charge unbelievable. I ordered large jerk chicken meal which cost $17. I received one tablespoon of cabbage, a small scoop of macaroni and cheese, ONE chicken LEG, and ONE chicken THIGH that was partially cut. It wasn't even a whole chicken thigh. Everyone knows that chicken legs and thighs are the cheapest part of the chicken. So to be stingy with a thigh or leg is disrespectful. They even skimmed me on the rice. The food is good, but I've not ever received a portion of food this small for $17. Please understand that if you patronize this restaurant, that you will receive a small amount of food."
"I've come to the Lasalle location a few times. I was introduced to it by a friend and fell in love with their food. The jerk chicken is always tender. The cabbage has a little spice to it just like I like it. I get the vegetable plate alot because the food is just that good without the meat. Ive tried their coconut cake which is very moist and good. All their food is nice and hot and you do get a pretty nice serving. Customer service is great. Angie is usually fixing the plates. Both her and the cashiers are always so friendly. They always show you your plate before you leave out to ensure you're satisfied with what you've received. This take out only. Many of us will sit in the car, such as myself, and eat sometimes because the food is so good. You don't want to wait sometimes to get home. The food is a little pricey but worth it. I do recommend that you try this restaurant. (Food I've tried: jerk chicken, collards, potato salad, corn, yams, cabbage, green beans, Mac n' cheese, beans and rice, fried plantains, fried wingettes, coconut cake)"
