"This place is great!! The food is excellent. I had the jollof rice with chicken and plantains and it’s enough to feed three people honestly. The guy at the counter was super friendly and communicative. I plan to go back again to try different things. The tsoofie looks particularly interesting. Things to note: different items on the menu are available on different days, mostly on the weekend, so keep that in mind. Also, it’s takeout ONLY, so don’t expect to sit and eat there. Otherwise, enjoy!"

"This was my first time trying Mama Gees. The young man at the counter was super nice and helpful with deciding what to order. I ordered the Jallof Rice w Chicken. The plate came with plantains and a cup of sauce for the rice. Oh my goodness. It was so good. That chicken....the flavor.....He told rice had a spiciness to it. It did, but not too much. The plantains were good. I love the Ginger Beer. It has some 'kick'. I will definitely be ordering again. (Sorry, forgot to take pics). The second time, I ordered 'Dirty Chicken' w Jallof Rice and Plantains. It was delicious. The spice level was not bad. I tried the Donuts and, of course, the Ginger Beer. I enjoyed everything."
