"Stopped in on a 4 hour layover and the food was delicious. You pay the airport premium tax but they deliver with great food and prompt service. Wife had the salmon and was amazed at how good it was. Worth the stop on a layover ."

"Just a note - we had a table and a great waiter. The hostess seated a woman at the bar but the woman waitress told the lady she couldn’t set there because the bar tender had not picked up a glass and whipped the bar off. The lady said she would wait but the waitress (very rudely) said go wait at the front desk to be seated. The lady said I was seated here. The bar tender said I’m not cleaning the bar sorry! Not a good holiday spirit. The lady asked for a manager and then the bar tender came over and tried to be nice. Then she repromanded the hostess for sending her to the bar. Poor server at the bar. Nice nose ring and tattoos up the neck. Keep a watch out she’s mean!!!"

"When you travel a lot you don't have high hopes for an airport meal or personal experience with your bartender/server. Ali at Summer House blew the doors off the experience. The turkey and avocado sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. Ali experimented with me by using a new liqueur they just got in to create a custom old fashioned. Well done to summer house in the CLT airport. It was a great vibe for a long travel week."

"Fast. Clean. Friendly. Delicious. Had to quickly find a spot to eat near my gate. The bright light and clean space snagged my interest. Jacob helped me and I got a Bloody Mary and an egg sandwich. This bloody may be the best one I’ve had while traveling. Definitely recommend. My egg sandwich came out in less than 5 min, was a decent portion, had awesome flavor; make sure you get the spicy mayo and bacon on yours! If I come through Charlotte again, I’ll come back and hopefully I’ll have Jacob again. Excellent service!"

"I had a long day at the airport and after eating the food and the Admiral's Club I wanted to check out what restaurants the terminal had to offer. Summer House definitely looked enticing and after browsing their menu online I decided to stop in. The wait wasn't long at all, but that probably had to do with the time of day that I went. I had the chicken sandwich and it was prepared very well. The truffle fries were absolutely amazing and my server was super attentive even though they had plenty of tables to wait on. I also enjoyed an old fashioned that was just okay. There wasn't a lot of love put into it but it did the job. Overall, it was a solid spot but it doesn't get a strong rating for me because everything was just a little above average not mind blowing."
