"As a budding chicken biscuit conaseur- this was probably the best chicken biscuit I have ever had. Didn't share with the wife. It was carefully packaged to-go. Excellent presentation. Chicken was the exact same diameter as the biscuit but real thick with plenty of meat. Not very spicy, well balanced. Wife loved the blt with egg. She wouldn't share."

"Loved my visit to The Getaway! The service was wonderful and friendly. Food was out of this world. Best Parmesan fries I’ve ever tried. Grilled cheese and soup on a cold, rainy day was delicious and comforting. Chocolate chip cookie was fabulous…and I’m a cookie fanatic! My friend and I were super happy with our experience."

"Beautiful place! I wanted to try something different for breakfast and I found this place through google map. I ordered Avocado toast and it was phenomenal (maybe this is the biggest avocado toast have ever seen). Very well seasoned and the crunch, just made the experience worth it. I got also a latte which was okay. The service was good (especially the cashier, she was very very nice and she recommended the avocado). I will be back again for sure."

"This place is fantastic! Wonderful breakfast and lunch options. The fare is elevated cafe food, both hot and cold options. Hash is my fav, must try. Chicken biscuit was also very good and creative salads. The food is very flavorful, you can tell there is a chef behind the menu with culinary chops. Both indoor and outdoor seating available which is super nice, it is very clean and well decorated with a minimalist touch. Coffee drinks are excellent with full barista type options. The area is great too, trails and views of the river, public access pier, etc. Highly recommend for a quick bite!"
