"Roger and his crew did a fantastic job installing flashing and critter screens on my and my neighbor's (next unit over in duplex) gas stove vents and termination caps. We had recently had our duplex re-roofed; the roofers did not change out the flashing, and instead put a covering of new shingles over much of the old flashing. Roger was able to get under the shingles to remove the old flashing and install the new flashing and then put a coat of weatherproofing on top. They also installed screens over the openings of our termination caps to keep out pests. I highly recommend Wandering Brushes Chimney Sweeps for any of your fireplace / chimney needs."
"Roger did an amazing job installing our wood stove at a very reasonable price. His experience was obvious and Sonya and Luis were great to work with as well. Love the new Hearthstone wood stove Roger recommended as well. Great experience all around. Thank you again"
"I hired a "Wandering Brushes Chimney Sweeps&Stove" last winter to clean my chimney for wood stove. According to him, my old wood stove is not safe and I must purchase one from him. We agreed on the price. The installer Roger made an error when he cut the black pipe too short during the installation process. Until he can reorder the new one, he has decided to put a temporary back up, and he will change it by spring. He never came back with the correct pipe. I contacted him to remind him that I was still waiting, but his response stated that he did not understand what I was referring to and that he never cut black pipe for me. Therefore, I sent him a video of himself cutting a black pipe on my Youtube channel entitled "How I survived NC winter in the barn they said a house." His next response was that what I have today is even better, and he could change it if I did not like it, but I would have to pay for his time and materials. I was quite shocked that he wanted to double charge me for his error. I have contacted the Fire Marshal of the Health Department who reviews this matter. He states that it does not meet approval and considered a fire hazard. As a result of the stove no longer functioning and generating fire, smoke is being generated inside the house, ashes are everywhere, and the insulation he left on the ceiling is melting and is causing very unpleasant chemicals to be released into the air, which made me feel nauseous for many weeks. As you can see on the image it starts dripping from the insulation because condensation mixed with soot due to the pipe not being correct and not installed correctly with dripless connector. A number of professionals observed this and were shocked as they have never seen anyone do such an unsafe job in their lives. Because a wood stove is the only source of heat I am freezing alone with my animals today. Sadly, no professionals are willing to come and clean out of code pipe I have today from Roger. I have attempted to resolve the issue with Roger by emails and given him the opportunity to rectify his mistake, but he is being extremely difficult and arrogant. He thinks everyone is wrong and he is the only one right. His interpretation that I was asking for things for free, I explained many times that all I asked was for him to replace the stainless steel pipe with the black pipe that he originally worked with but was cut too short and promised to replace. As a result, since my place gets below 40 F inside during the freeze.I cannot stay at my place too long and have to leave somewhere else during the freeze. Because other professionals mentioned he did not know what he was doing I asked him to provide me with his business license number for installation and he refused that too. Since he refused to take responsibility for his poor workmanship and I feel like he took advantage of me as a single woman I do not recommend his services to anyone and want others to be aware."
"I would like to give thanks to the Lord for these people ! I prayed for him to send me someone to service and repair my pellet stove and he sent me the best. From the first time Sonya answered the phone until Roger went out the door when he was finished they were professional, kind, reassuring I could trust them to get the job done and totally competent getting the job done. I was able to get the appointment in a reasonable time and the price was reasonable. Roger did a couple of little things for me that were not his responsibility . I am older and disabled and it's a heavy load off my mind knowing I have someone I can call on if I have a problem with the heater now."
"Roger and Luis were wonderful. I called a few places and Wandering Brush was the only one that wasn't booked 2 months out. In fact, they came the very next day, on time, great attitudes, and ready to get started. I only needed a cleaning but they were considerate of my home so as not to make a mess. And the price beat anyone else I'd called by half. I'd easily encourage anyone that needs chimney services to give them a call. You're the priority."
