"My cousin referred me to Dr. Sonia Gidwani, who is located in the heart of the Upper West Side in NYC, is truly a standout pediatrician. "All parents please be on alert this pediatrician is all talk based on her strong prejudice and opinion disguised as she is an advocate for the child. Don’t be fooled by initial impressions from her act that she is caring. Her office staff is also rude and lazy and gets upset at parent for asking if Dr Gidwani is running really late and if needs to reschedule during hour long or longer delay that she has caused. Also her office is nasty looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in decades and my young girl got a skin infection after touching something in their waiting room. Dr Gidwani has denied to provide healthcare services that my children had with a previous pediatrician before we moved to UWS NYC where Dr Gidwani waved their disease off as not important and claimed it doesn’t happen in children. Even after repeated requests she dismissed me and the children treating us like were bothering her and wasting her time when she saw us over an hour late. We switched from her to a more well-trained pediatrician and found out both my girls need medical attention that was ignored by Dr Gidwani. She is not at all respected by other doctors and that is why she practices by herself. She is medically dangerous and should not be practicing however she gains trust in the family pretending that she is a protector of children and an advocate for their access to healthcare. She will also speak to the children planting false ideas in their head that they are being abused by the parents and encourages them to hide and withhold information not only healthcare but in general from their parents again disguising her unethical practice as protecting child healthcare privacy however in truth she is breaking child parent trust and bond and creating problems in the family so she can feel like a hero. She has also given us wrong medical information about immunization and posed safety issues because of her incompetency. Dr Gidwani uses her practice to build herself up as a hero of children to compensate for her personal issues where she knows she is not a competent medical professional and distract the parents from finding out she is a poorly trained doctor. Dr Gidwani seems to have personal issues where she hates adults and parents and tolerates them but every chance she gets she tries to replace the child’s bond with their parent with telling them they can tell her anything that the child would not tell the parents and that she will keep it a secret between her and child. It’s something a child abuser says. What kind of doctor and pediatrician does that! Parents don’t get fooled like I did at first with her outgoing personality that she’s good for your child. Find a better doctor as there are other good ones in NYC."
