"I saw Dr Fok for a surgical procedure (D&E) resulting from a miscarriage and I could not recommend her enough. She is quite hard to schedule so I had to wait 8 days from confirmation of the miscarriage to having the surgery; if you're in a similar situation and can wait I would recommend it. I found her to be kind, thoughtful and very informative about the process. Since I had to wait to be scheduled, I had thought I had come to terms with the miscarriage when I showed up at the hospital, but I did find myself becoming emotional while being prepped in the surgical suite. Dr Fok held my hand while I went to sleep and it was one of those things I remember most keenly about the experience that helped me through it at the time. The surgery went very smoothly: I had little to no aftereffects, no pain and I bled extremely lightly for two days (about maybe two tablespoons of blood total), with no other symptoms 3 weeks out. Dr Fok also called me with the results of the pathology report and was very informative about what had happened with my fetus, the statistical incidence of it happening again and how I should move forward with trying again. If you can, definitely choose Dr Fok as your doctor."
