"Dr. Lau has been my gynecologist for several years and she is such a kind, caring & empathetic doctor. She’s always energetic & greets you like she’s known you forever. She explains things thoroughly, even calls me to discuss my blood work & discusses next steps if needed. She never leaves any questioned unanswered. She’s always very prompt when answering urgent messages through MyChart as well. Recently, I had undergone a procedure. I was very nervous, but she held my hand before I went under. She is truly amazing."

"Dr. Grace Lau cancelled my annual visit because of her availability and the next available appt. I was given was six months later. Seeing as that was still within the calendar year for my annual, I took that appt. seeing as I had no other choice besides finding a new gynecologist. Today my rescheduled appt. was cancelled by Dr. Lau because she is "unavailable that day" and the next appt. is in five months later. I find this kind of cancelling and no effort to reschedule to get the patient in sooner than five to six months as incredibly unprofessional. I travel for work and schedule my life around doctors appointments. To be cancelled on twice with no regard to what that means for the patient is a professional shame on Dr. Lau and her staff."

"I have lived in NYC for over 15 years - and finding a highly qualified gynecologist who takes new patients isn't always easy. And those who do,. often work for a practice that isn't patient-centric (i.e. long wait times, rushed exams, dismissive front desk staff, etc.) But Dr. Lau and her staff are the exception to the rule. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed and seen- Siobhan at the front desk took such great care of me. I didn't have to wait more than 3 minutes to be called back to the exam room- where Lu took my vitals and history and was attentive and very calming (I get nervous at at doctor's appointments offices). It was only another five minutes before Dr. Lau came in to examine me. Before doing so, we sat down to review my FULL history (which is long and complicated), She was incredibly patient and actively listening as I did my best to explain what I understood (but lacking a medical background, made it hard for me to give a full picture). Despite this, Dr. Lau sat patiently with me and worked to "decode" what was going on. She spent about 25-30 minutes with me- and at no point did I feel rushed or dismissed. I had taken a day off assuming that I would probably be waiting for at least an hour or two (par for the course with good NYC Gynecologists'), and, to my pleasant surprise, I was in and out within 45 mins - with next steps outlined and feeling confident that Dr. Lau will help me get to the bottom of whatever is going on! So with that, I can't more highly recommend Dr. Lau and her incredible support staff such as Siobhan and Lu!"

"Dr. Lau delivered my daughter (now 21 months) and I absolutely loved her. She was still with NYU then, so unfortunately, I only saw her for a couple of my prenatal visits because they like to rotate you through all the docs in the practice, but I was beyond thrilled when her call schedule happened to coincide with my labor! Wish she still did OB."

"Had Dr Lau throughout my first pregnancy and she was wonderful, a great advocate for me, very helpful and informative of all of my options for care. The NYU practice IS run as a business rather than a local Doctor but that is to be expected at a group practice in midtown, imo. Dr Lau also took great care of me when I had some medical issues after the baby, went above and beyond for me, which I greatly appreciated. Take it from someone who saw her for more than a year, Dr Lau is an excellent physician"
