"I experienced severe birth trauma at the hands of Dr. Callipari, Dr. Owen, Dr. Carridi and others at Mount Sinai. I’ll put it to you this way, if you wish to go into labor naturally and to go full term, DO NOT see any doctor at this practice. They are induction and c-section bullies. They push for induction at 39 weeks and, if you refuse, they’ll come up with any reason to force you into it. “The uterus is a dangerous place” and “39 weeks is the perfect time to be induced” is what Dr. Rebecca Jessel said after scanning me at 36 weeks and telling my my baby was “too big”, my “placenta was maturing”, and laughed in my face when I told her I want to go into labor naturally. I was forced into an induction against my will at 39 weeks by Dr. Callipari and Dr. Owen and, after 26 hours, forced into a c-section by Dr. Carridi(not emergency). It’s just a business to them, they don’t care at all about your wishes, feelings or your experience. If you do not want to be induced or have a c-section (again, not emergency situation) DO NOT see any doctor in this practice. Consider a midwife because they’re the only ones who will truly respect you and your decisions."
"Big thank you to the mount sinai team! Dr. Scholl did such an amazing job, she made my pregnancy a breeze, I will definitely be going back to her ! Dr Sullivan did my epidural and I’m so thankful for him, I did not feel a thing when delivering my baby. I appreciate this team so much !"
"I went here for 4 yrs bc it was close to my apt and the front desk staff are really great. BUT, always lots of problems—Constant practitioner turnover (I’ve had 4 drs in 4 yrs); post COVID they seem to always be out of hygienic supplies in restrooms; phones are only answered 9-12 or 2-5 due to lunch breaks but even if you call at 4:45 you get the “call us during normal business hours” recording; very little time spent with patients and lastly (this was the last straw) no info whatsoever was given about prep for iud insertion so I had to go home after my appointment in pain with a bloody dress. I do not recommend this office."
"I have some disturbing situations about Mt Sinai obgyn waiting area. This is an hospital I have been going for years, but this time I accompany my daughter to her appointment. They rather the patient go up stairs while you can sit in the waiting area. I cannot stand for long periods so I was sitting for 30 minutes when a lady dress in a blue suit ask me to wait out side, I explain my situation and she say that was the policy but yet a white lady came in and sat there comfortably.I report to the male security and ask to speak to the director and he was hesitant, not pleasant and bad attitude then talking to the other security and making fun of me. Luckily I get a hold of the patient care and she was very nice and told me she was sorry for what happened and will look in the matter. It was two African American got to stand out side while the white lady sit. This is very embarrassing for me and I hope other dark skin person don’t go through this."
"I couldn't be more fortunate to have had Dr Joanne Stone for my first pregnancy and have her deliver the baby. Shes the best, such a talented, professional doctor with the most kind, fun and genuine personality. I have had the best experience with her as well as the entire staff, Dr Strong who covered for Dr Stone while she was OOO and Dr Ramirez for my postpartum recovery and checkups. Dr Stone literally went above and beyond to be the one to deliver the baby and that I had the most comfortable experience recovering. Again they are so talented and experienced in what they do I don't think I would have had such a stress-free and enjoyable pregnancy anywhere else."
