"It isn’t a mistake that there are so many negative reviews for this company. They are not interested in helping people. My experiences are too complex and nuanced to detail here, my only hope is that someone thinking of using Healthfirst reads this and considers NOT using them as an insurance provider. I hope that anyone using them currently doesn’t have the same experience as I have and I hope that one day this company will realize the strife they have cause many of the people who paid them hard earned money consistently for months or years. "My brothers Doctor submitted several referrals for my brother to recieve 24hr care the referrals are being denied knowing the 24 hr care is essential to sustain his quality of life. I've called keep getting transferred and put on hold . Terrible customer service. Ask to speak to Case Manager who is never available. So sad people want jobs but lack the carrying out of their position for their clients."
"I’ve called Health First Transportation on numerous occasions to set up an appointment for my elderly mother and previously they required two days but then they changed it to three days now which I didn’t find out until I called to schedule her ride to her appointment and unfortunately they did not let me book the ride because of the new time frame that they did not even inform their members about. This isn’t the only reason why I’m posting, I’m posting because although I adhered to their three day notice every time I had to schedule an appointment for my mom the car service is always late or they do not show up and I have to consistently call to find out where is her driver and then they always have to send someone else which makes my mother late for her scheduled appointments or reschedule. What’s the point in calling three days in advance if the car service isn’t going to show up. Why continue to use the same car service? These services to the car service isn’t free, they are getting paid. If they are unreliable, hire new car services, or risk getting negative reviews and potential lawsuits. If my mother doesn’t get her treatments on the days that the car service doesn’t show up, Health First will be sued."
