"DO NOT give birth at this hospital. They are understaffed in every single department. You wait a long time to be seen in triage, even if you’re in active labor. I was left in excruciating pain for 3.5 hours in triage, unable to get a bed and an epidural in L&D because they didn’t have beds available. Some of the nurses lack bedside manner and empathy as they deal with women in pain during a vulnerable time. For my cervical exam I had a nurse jam her fingers in my vagina it was the most painful experience only for her to tell me she’s not sure what she’s feeling and would need another nurse to come in and check. This is my second child never have I had a cervical exam hurt that bad. It happened to me twice. Upon discharge I was told a proof of birth letter would be emailed to me. I never received the letter, but yet was inundated with emails asking for monetary donations. My daughter is now two months old I have yet to receive her birth certificate or social. When I called to follow-up I was told they are backed up and short staff and there is nothing they can do about it I just have to wait. I honestly regret picking this hospital. I do not recommend."

"Two nurses, Evelyn And Tyler were the only thing that saved my two week stay after an accident. They’re simply aren’t enough words to describe how horrible the stay was. The hospital doesn’t deserve one star deserves to be closed down. The food was an edible and I’m not picky. The care was dismal. The woman next to me who had orders to have nothing by mouth was served a meal and given water by two different texts, that she choked. He would push the button when you needed care and wait and wait and wait the noise the inability to get any rest whatsoever was amazing. Announcements to reach. Staff went loudly into every room at all hours of the night, I had to request to get my bed changed and HIPAA was never respected. I shared a room with someone and heard all of their information as they heard mine. There was no attempted privacy. I had some crazy Doctor Who would come in every day and see me. That’s all he did the one time he actually listened to my heart. He talked through the whole thing. understaffed, under cleaned, and when I arrived in emergency was stuck in a corner with no ability to call for a nurse for 30 hours my only companion was the person next to me who was going through withdrawal from alcohol abuse, and if he wanted a nurse, he had to scream until one passing by heard you. When I finally got someone to take me to the restroom, they forgot me and left me there for an hour and a half , it goes on and on and on but having been in the hospital in a Third World country, I can tell you it was better than this. Go anywhere but here. UPDATE; After this review, the hospital sent me a response asking me to click a link so they could discuss my review with me. I did and the link didn't work. After being with them for 2 weeks they have my number and are welcome to call if they like."

"This place doesn't even deserve a star. I am completely and utterly disgusted by the lack of compassion and sympathy the staff have at this hospital. I thought this hospital was one of the best but I am completely horrified to have asked for my husband to be sent to this hospital. My husband was admitted by ambulance. I am stuck in Canada with my children while my husband is alone at this hospital. I have called to get any kind of updates such is he alive? Is he being taken care of ? Only to be met with the most unwelcoming, incredibly mean, rude staff. I literally just spoke to someone who told me if i want nformation on his status I should just come by the hospital. I told him I am stuck in Canada, he literally hung up on my face how is this even possible ? Aren't nurses and doctors supposed to be kind, informative, compassionate? What the hell is this. This is horrendous.and let me tell you I've been above and beyond polite. An absolute nightmare. I am horrified and literally haven't slept in 2 days. This hospital needs to hire new staff and retrain staff to have some kind of heart The level of attitude is disgusting. As a doctor working in a hospital in Canada I am shocked. Honestly shocked. I was told his doctor would call me around 1 am. I called at 7 am.and was met with severe attitude and told again that the doctor would call me soon. It's currently 344 pm and still no word from any doctor. When I called again the doctor hung up on me. I was SO polite. Is this normal still no status on my husband as his phone is dead with no charged battery. IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE MOUNT SINAI. How do I know my husband's needs are being met if you can't even tell me he is okay ??????"

"I had to take my son to ER yesterday evening, 11/12/23 due a seizure he had at home. He is an adult with Autism. With his diagnosis I already know before we even get to hospital that he’s only going to cooperative to the best of his ability and nothing more. So the cooperation MUST be from the hospital staff in order for my son to get the appropriate treatment. Forget about “appropriate treatment” as there was NONE! The only treatment my son received were 2 doses of medication to settle my son down as he was agitated and that was it. I waited & waited for the physician to return but he never did…gone with the wind, I suppose! I told the supervising doctor I am taking my son home as my son was increasingly agitated. This doctor couldn’t care less. FINALLY, as we were leaving the nurse asked to do labs. I agreed but told her I am taking my son home right after and we did! The lack of care my son received was APPALLING to say the least! **To the hospital administrator**: Please educate your hospital staff on how to better manage the needs of ALL patients on the Autism spectrum and those who are intellectually disabled. Thank you."

"Horrible hospital. The nursing staff was rude and incompetent. They have horrible attitudes. God forbid your loved one is having a surgery that last past 9pm, they will kick you out the waiting room and place you in the hallway. Me and 3 other families had to be escorted out the waiting room. They stop giving you updates so you are pretty much in limbo trying to figure out what’s happening. Luckily, there is glass panels surrounding the closed waiting room where you can see the surgery monitor. If it wasn’t for that we would not know a thing."
