"WOW…..I’ve heard about The NewYork Shaving Company Barber Shop from a few friends. Life has been busy and I felt a shave was a luxury and put it off until Thursday January 1st. I went in expecting a nice shave and a haircut. I was incredibly surprised. Opening the door and hearing the music from days past put me in a daze. It was like stepping back in time. I was greeted warmly by the lady who handles the phones and payments. I didn’t ask her name but I will next time. Yes I said next time. The experience I had getting the Ultimate shave was AMAZING. The different towels hot and cold..and the mask they make with cream was incredible. There aren’t enough positive words I can say about John and his place. I feel like I’ve been missing out on something. I can’t put into words what a great experience I had. I hadn’t shaved since November..no shave November. Then November turns into Christmas and New Years. Finally I knew I couldn’t shave myself so I made an appointment. I got the best shave ever. The process needs to be had by every guy at least once in your life. Or as I’m going to do is go every month for a haircut and shave. John is a master at his craft. The conversation was great. The atmosphere is 1920s New York City. I could go on and on. The bottom line is. If you need a haircut or a beard trim or complete shave you must try The NewYork Shaving company. I can’t wait for mu next appointment. It’s truly an escape from life going back to a much simpler and fun way of life. Leave your cellphone in the car. Leave life’s problems in your car. If the problem is big enough it will still be there and you will be in a much better state of mind to deal with them. This was a great Haircut and Shave. I want to Thank John and the staff. It was my first time and I felt as if John and I were friends for 20 years. Once again I want to say how amazing an experience I had."
