"Update: It turns out my insurance still covers most of the cost even though they are now out-of-network, and Pearl has been super nice and offered to waive the remaining balance (which ended up being ~$200 total) due to the miscommunication over their change in network status and over the final bill. I'd continue recommending Pearl Dental, my previous experiences with them have all been great :) ____________________________________________ (original post) If you are a returning patient at Pearl Dental, please note that they have recently become out-of-network with most insurance providers, as of time of writing (June 2023). I visited them several times in the past while they were still in-network with my dental insurance (Guardian), and didn't have any complaints. On my most recent visit though, I found out that they were no longer in-network with my insurance, leaving me with potentially a $1000+ bill for a routine checkup and two fillings (I'm still waiting for insurance to finalize the amount) I just wished they had communicated more clearly the fact that they have gone out-of-network, instead of waiting for me to finish my routine checkup, schedule a follow-up appointment for two fillings, get them both done, before informing me of this change. The receptionist said they "sent a mail" notification... what mail? I have two other friends who visit Pearl Dental as well and none of them received this "mail". I don't have any complaints about the dental work though, it's been great. Sorry for leaving a bad review, I just don't want other returning patients to make the same mistake as I did."

"Wonderful experience. Dr. Perloth did an expert job placing two crowns in my mouth a single day of two visits. She explained each step of the process and took great care from start to finish. Her professionalism and friendliness was matched by the same from her lovely staff. I highly recommend Pearl be if you are looking for an excellent dentist in the City."

"Dr. Tatiana P. is a magician! I have been going to her office for the past 3 years and every time it has been a pleasure seeing her. I recently had a chipped tooth (a big one) and of course I ran straight back to her. Here is the before and after picture if it helps to anyone else in a similar situation. She made sure it was perfect using the best material out there to make the filling strong and match the color to my own tooth. She mentioned that the filling she used was chameleon material and it adopts to my tooth color. It will also adopt in the future if I were to get a whitening. How amazing! Dr. Tatiana is always attentive and she never hesitates to take extra time to make things are perfect. I feel taken care and in safe hands during every single of my visits. Thank you Dr. Tatiana for being an amazing doctor and a wonderful human being. I am lucky to have found her as my dentist."
