"I applied for a unit at the Vista Summit on January 19, 2023. I paid a total of $300.00 to apply ($250.00 refundable "administration fee" and $50.00 application fee). The $250 admin fee was to be refundable should I get denied the apartment for any reason. Well, I was denied on February 24, 2023 and to date (April 28, 2023) I have not received my deposit back! I've called the office, emailed directly the Property Manager, Melanie Haller with no response, I've since then contacted the Corporate Office 5 times with NO RESPONSE!!! I am now submitting a case in Chesapeake General Court seeking the return of my deposit. Please do not apply for an apartment at The Vista, the Helix, nor the Mosaic unless you're prepared to pay them $300.00 for applying and earn at least 3X's the rent in income, otherwise, you will not receive your deposit back!!"
