"I've been a long time patient of the practice. The physician I was seeing, Dr Holland retired last year. In the last month, my appointment had to be changed because I was supposed to see a physician after I saw the nurse practitioner earlier in the year. That pushed my appointment back to a month. Then I needed a new prescription for my medication and between me and my pharmacy calling and sending several messages, it took a week and my requesting to speak with a practice manager to get that done. This morning I saw the new neurologist Dr. B, and I was not impressed with the fact that he failed to listen to me as a patient. While I'm on a medication that is according to him no longer used to control epilepsy, it works for me. He wanted to do o tests that I felt was not necessary. And while I don't mind seeing him every 6 months for now (Dr Holland only saw me once a year), the office told me that they don't make appointments that far in advance. It used to be a good practice, but I'm not so sure anymore."
"Stay away from Dr. Kanarek. He was rude and short tempered. I had a nerve conduction study and he kept yanking my leg in directions that I had been explicitly told by the trauma surgeon not to do. He curtly asked why did I bother to come? I didn't know what was involved in the test. My husband and I tried to be friendly but to no avail. I asked Dr. Kanarek what nerves looked like. He said in a condescending manner, and I quote, "I'm a neurologist, not a neurosurgeon." Well I know you're just a neurologist but I thought all doctors had to dissect cadavers. When he finished he said I had severe nerve damage and I would get what I would I would get back in 12 months. After that, I'll get nothing. He started to leave the room. Of course we had questions. He grudgingly stayed a few minutes. Avoid this doctor, please."
"Dr Romanowski has a lot of qualities that need attention. His bedside manner needs quite the polishing! He needs to spend less time on the surf board and more time gaining experience to become a real neurologist. Many patients that had been under the care of Dr Rice have found they are not impressed with Romanowski. You’d think after Dr Rice neurology specialists wouldn’t have settled for less but they did! Although Dr Betz may take months to get into see, I’ve been told she’s worth it. Those of you under Dr Romanowski’s care and are not happy with him, write a review. It’s the only way you’re going to be heard and taken seriously."
"The doctors, nurses and infusion team are wonderful. They truly care and take time to listen and help you. I highly recommend this practice, especially Dr. Romanowski, NPs Corri Brander & Aisha, Nurses Katie & Carolyn and Leah & Joe in the Infusion Center They have helped me tremendously with my M.S. diagnosis/treatments and are always kind, caring and professional. My most recent visit with NP Corri Brander on 2/7/23 was so thorough and I appreciate how she explains things. She always engages me in discussing my health, test results and treatment plans. I appreciate that she reviews my medical history and needs prior to walking in the exam room. Additionally, her nurse, Carolyn, is so kind, caring and knowledgeable. The Front Desk staff, Viola and Crystal, are also very friendly and proficient. They are kind and patient with everyone who comes into the practice. They take their time to make you feel welcome and cared for."
"After one virtual consultation and one in-person visit (that lasted no more than 10 minutes), Dr. Kanarek informed me that he no longer considered me a patient since he couldn't simply throw prescriptions at my chronic migraines. I guess finding out the cause of them is too much to ask. I'd read feedback from his past patients that mentioned how awful he was, and I should have taken them to heart. As far as the office itself goes, they are rude, dismissive, and don't seem to care at all about people."
