Reviews of City Park Dog Park
"I've never brought my dog but the wife and I stop by about 2-3 times a month just to watch all the dogs interact. Some are a bit out of control but for the majority of the time nothing but good behavior has been observed. Plenty of room to run and fetch objects, water is always available and they have a separate section fenced off just for really small dogs. So fun and relaxing just to watch. Free parking right next to the entrance."
"It would be nice if they mark what the difference between the two dog parks are ( I was told the one in the front was more for the ag... The one in the back for the small dogs the enter gate area from small dogs the gap in between the fence is not small enough my 8 lbs dog can get through the fence so I don't let her off her leash until she totally in the fenced in area"
"This is a nice, large park to bring friendly dogs. Our pups have made a lot of friends and beg to go regularly. Bring water if you plan to stay a while. Like others have said, there's not much shade and it can be rather muddy after it rains."
"I offer my disabled POV for others. My dog and I enjoy this dog park. I like to go early as I'm disabled, use a cane, can't walk far, and need to sit. All problems when the place is busy. Both sides have one bench each. (From my personal experience, don't drive your scooter if you don't want to risk damage. There's loose rocks and uneven ground). If you can't stand for long periods of time and can't carry a folding chair safely, maybe coming early would be a better bet. (I recently tried my w/c. Pushing it ahead of me while using my cane worked out well. My dog is trained to walk alongside). There are 2 sides to the dog park, a large one, and a smaller. Both have double door entrances. Garbage cans and doggie plastic pick-up the poop bags are available throughout. Grab a bottle of water and a bowl for your dog as this dog park does not have taps. There is a portable toilet outside the fence by the entrance. That being said, it's a very nice park with a big beautiful tree shading the smaller side. My photos are taken of the entrances, and of the smaller of the two sides."
