"Ms. Rita works hard, she is the property manager and she takes no mess. I must say this has been the best property manager I done had this far. The maintenance team is quick and responds fast. They doing the best they can for what they got. It’s peaceful, but you may hear a little bang bang every now and then. Everybody’s got a hood. My wife loves the place and my family will be growing soon. I can’t wait to continue to grow my family here at Artisan Hill. Here’s to finally finding home."
"I lived here for 18 months prior to moving away to northern, Va. Luckily for me, I never had any sort of maintenance issues in my apartment or it would’ve been a nightmare. The entire facility is disorganized, mismanaged, and chaotic. I repeatedly lost packages in the package room, doors were constantly broken, and the place would often get trashed on the weekends (especially the pool in the summers). When I first moved in they towed my car away even though I had a parking pass displayed. I caught this in the morning and was told they would return my vehicle that day free of charge. By the evening time it was not there and I had to go pick it up myself. I was given the WRONG address by the old leasing agent and was stranded in south Richmond with no way home. I literally called the towing company and they were kind enough to pick me up and take me to the towing facility. It was an absolute nightmare and I had to work early in the morning the next day. I was reimbursed for the uber and the vehicle charge but a credit for my troubles was never charged back to my account. Since then, they have flipped management but it’s almost just as bad. The leasing agents are lazy and do the minimum. This place needs help. Overall it’s a nice apartment with good amenities but is in dire need of proper leadership and management. I would advise staying away. P.S. the new manager of the facility is very nice and was always kind to me. I forget her name but she is a winner. They need more people like her (if she’s still there)."
"I had the nine pleasure of dealing with Evan. I knew it was going to go wrong when the first thing he did to my employer is questioning him about if Florida was an hour behind Virginia. If you've ever traveled the US let alone international you know there could be some time differences depending where you are geographically. I was going to write this review regardless of being approved. I didn't get denied but at this point I definitely didn't want to continue the process especially knowing that someone like Evan is working for the company where in which I would possibly be living. He is very unprofessional and condescending. I never pulled a race card but I believe that had a lot to do with the certain questioning. This guy question my employer about where we're working and what time it was where we were working. I spoke to him I said hey but if you need me to do I would do it because I really wanted that apartment. So coward Evan didn't even have the decency to keep his word and call me back and let me know what the process was because he knew I was in a fighting for time because I work out of town. Lastly, I never heard from Evan which I'm not surprised. I did have the pleasure of speaking with the property manager. she was very professional, polite, courteous and she informed me of the next step I could have taken . At that point I never felt comfortable enough to even deal with the people so I denied the next step. A lot of these apartment complexes they collect application fees and holding fees and administration fees just to pay their office. They're not really trying to help people find a place to live as much as they are collecting fees. I never played a race car d and I'm not now. I see all this not because they need me to verify more things before will accept me. I see all this from the beginning of the whole situation from when Evan? my boss about what time it was in Florida and where we're working and so forth. My boss is a Black military veteran that! started a company from ground zero, we move furniture for the soldiers on military installations. I emphasize Black because I don't know if he would have had the same questioning if he was Caucasian"
"Lived here for a year and a half and have overlooked the garage door not working when we moved in, front door not working for 1 1/2 months, elevator (which there is only one of) not working for a few weeks, no emergency lights in the stairwell when the power went out, a stranger tried to open my door while I was home (thank god it was locked) and nobody followed up with me so I could file a police report even though they have a camera directly outside my unit. But what I cannot overlook is that I have mold in my unit, they came and probably just wiped it with a paper towel, said they found the leak and fixed it, and obviously they didn’t because it is growing back. I have had worsening upper respiratory symptoms and thought my allergies were getting worse. I have a cat with feline asthma that I had to take to the vet to get steroids because she was coughing and unable to breathe. If you’re looking for an apartment, skip this place."
"Pros: -Very clean and well maintained. -Very spacious and modern apartments with granite countertops and wood floors. -Beautiful location with an awesome view of downtown Richmond. -Active community. -Heated saltwater pool. -Secure mailroom for packages. -Valet trash pickup. Cons: - Skywire internet/cable package (Internet connection is fine but highest download speed is 6.5MBs during the day and 3.5MBs during the evening. It costs $65 a month. You can only upgrade the bundle and nothing else. My previous apartment included internet in the rent and it was averaging 30MB/s). This is an issue for me because I work remotely and like to spend my free time on my computer. - Leasing staff always seem unavailable throughout the week or they're always "at lunch" (One time, I called them 4 times throughout the day and got the same message each time. Completely unacceptable)."
