"I grew up in this apartment and after the military, I came back and I am raising my family here. I couldn't have asked for a better place to live. I love it here. My wife and kids love it here. I spent some time reading the negative reviews...just ridiculous. Anytime I have had a problem, the management staff have gone out of their way to be as helpful as possible (because communication is key). The maintenance personnel are polite and responsive and I have never had a problem occur that wasn't resolved immediately! Thank You!"

"I applied the beginning of October for a 3 bedroom. They called and said it won’t be ready by December so they will give me my $350 deposit back. It’s been over a month and I still haven’t received my refund. I’ve been calling and leaving messages, and no one returns my calls. When I do talk with someone they say they will call me back and never do. Where is my refund?"

"This apartment complex is amazing! It is clean, neighbors are friendly, and their maintenance team is reliable and quick! A rare find. I was locked out of my apartment on Easter and the maintenance man was here within an hour as he promised. Don’t let the reviews deceive you, Shawnee Apartments is a hidden gem in the wonderful and family friendly Penrose neighborhood. There’s a washroom on every floor so you have options if a washer/dryer isn’t working on the floor you live on. The leasing consultant Janay (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) is the most friendly down to earth non-judgmental leasing agent in this area! For the price the apartments are spacious with wood floors, very easy to clean and maintain. If you want the newest appliances & amenities this place isn’t for you you can find plenty of those apartments in Arlington with a hefty price tag."

"DO. NOT. MOVE. HERE. Go less than a mile away to literally any other property to get your money's worth. We have no amenities, used to have a gym but they took it away, and our only "amenity" is a laundry room that doesn't work lol. The pictures on the website- catfishing. This place has so much potential and we have LOVED our actual apartment even with it being very outdated, but unfortunately it's just not worth the little savings. We have had roach and ant infestations (We are very clean, we even have a monthly cleaning service come), a random chipmunk in our apartment, a random mouse in our kitchen, mold, extreme bathroom flooding, I'm sure this place was great 7 years ago, but there is so much to offer at places down the road I wouldn't even waste my time. **Maintenance is great- this review is strictly for Greystar's mismanagement of this property.**"
